Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, was a renowned Sindhi Sufi poet, scholar, and mystic. He was born in 1689 Near Hala Sindh. Shah Abdul Latif is considered one of the greatest poets in the Sindhi language and a significant figure in Sindhi literature.
His most notable work is the Shah Jo Risalo, which is a collection of his poetry and teachings. The Risalo consists of various poetic forms, including ghazals, geet, and other traditional Sindhi poetic styles. Shah Abdul Latif's poetry primarily revolves around themes of divine love, spiritual enlightenment, and the unity of God. The majority of Latif's poetry is centered around Allah, the Prophet Muhammad, the Quran, Islam, and Sufism. However, he also imparted lessons about the culture, etiquette, traditions, and love for the land of Sindh in his poetry.
