I see many posts about how it’s okay to have a bad day, a bad week, or a bad month, and I want to add that it is also okay to have a bad year or several bad years. It’s okay if it takes you longer than a day or a week to work through your problems, and even if you’ve been struggling for years, that doesn’t mean your entire life is doomed. Sometimes it takes a year, two years, five years, or more to get better, and that is okay. It’s okay if your recovery takes time. It doesn’t mean you’re failing.
