That was my favorite spot in DC. Overlooking National Mall, and from the top floor whole city. Once the tallest building in the world still is impressive when standing at its base.

What’s the first place in the world you thought of when you saw this picture?
It’s Gaborova Valley in Slovak part of Tatra mountains viewed from the border trail. And you can get here from Kraków in about 5h (drive + hike).
Tatras are simply my favorite place in the world, especially in the winter!

Probably my favorite place for a winter hike - Dolina Strążyska. Best if contemplated on my own, but it can be also fun to show it to someone new, as it turns out 😉
In the back you’ll see the Giewont - a mountain that resembles a sleeping knight. And there is a legend behind it, naturally. A cross is often placed on summits in Poland if you didn’t know it already, so it small element is not special here.

It was supposed to be a fall sunset on Babia Góra, but turned out a winter one already. Two consecutive weekends wasn’t enough to capture a perfect picture, but… this is just a tribute (any Tenacious D fans here I don’t know yet?).
For many years I didn’t understand why people like this mountain so much. Until I started to visit it more often. Now it’s one of my favorites. Explored from all angles and all seasons of the year. And each time it gives me more and more joy of a different kind. It’s really a magical place - read legends about it if you don’t know them yet 🙃

Although now it’s noisy and full of tourists, but when you just wander around and find a small alley you can feel old Jeju. People are happy to share their family history.

Small island, very harsh conditions, close community, with 3 „no”: no thieves, no beggars and no gates. Everybody contributed with each other. Poles at the „gate” was a mean of visual communication not as an obstacle, e.g. I’m coming back in a bit, or I’m coming back in few days so take care of my farm, and some more. Unimaginable right now… #

For the whole today I watched aurora borealis parameters from yesterday’s coronal mass ejection. Unfortunately clouds covered the whole night sky and I barely just caught small glimpses of it. But it’s fun to stand under those wind turbines in the rain waiting for some miracle if you love photography.
