Making tea, for me, is an exercise in minimalism. The surroundings and the process should be quiet and peaceful, without adornment. When I make tea ceramics as well as when I use them, I seek simplicity and natural beauty. I also appreciate when they’re imperfect and a little rough. The tactile qualities enhance the experience.
