WHY TRIPLE CREEK RANCH IS STILL ONE OF MY FAVORITE RESORTS IN THE US…

If you’re looking for a resort in nature that has it all, Triple Creek Ranch in Montana is one of the most unique places. Located in beautiful mountains near Darby, right by the picturesque Bitterroot River, this 750-acre ranch is a real playground for adults. Great at any time of year, and offering an incredible array of different activities, it will keep you as busy, or as relaxed, as you want to be.

Winter offers options like downhill or cross-country skiing, snowboarding, dog sledding, snow shoeing, or horseback riding in beautiful forests. During warmer months there’s cattle herding, scenic mountain rides on horses, ATVs, or by car, fly fishing, hiking, and whitewater rafting. And, there are also many activities throughout the whole year. From fantastic special events like winemakers weekends, to painting and crafts, s***t shooting, sapphire panning, and many more, you will find something interesting to fill your time with. And let’s not forget all the wonderful things that are absolutely free: gorgeous views, enchanting nature, peaceful oasis, lots of wildlife, and many sweet encounters with the property’s horses as well as, occasionally, even bison.

The gourmet restaurant with a giant fireplace and forest views will indulge you with delightful meals and top notch alcohol selections, while the upstairs bar and lounge will tempt you with endless cocktail and special drink choices, all enjoyed to live western music.

Let’s also not forget the beautiful, cozy log cabins which are so luxurious that you will find yourself torn between all the activities, or just staying in and reading a book by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate in hand.

And if you’re new follower here and would like to learn more about Triple Creek Ranch, and see it in all its summertime glory, please check my previous reel from Nov. 28th, 2025, and a few following posts which have all the details. 🤠🧲

14 FAVORITE LUXURY HOTELS IN WARSAW - THE BIG DOWNTOWN HOTELS & LUXURY CHAINS WITH BENEFITS EVERYONE LOVES
PART 3 of 3

In my last post about hotel choices in Warsaw I wanted to point out a few properties that might be of interest to some of you, especially if you happen to love lots of amenities like a state-of-the-art fitness center, a large pool, a great spa, choices of restaurants, etc. Most are still very affordable, and great for families with kids. All the hotels here are conveniently located right in the center of downtown.

🏨NYX Hotel 4⭐️ - this super modern place with an insane view from its rooftop bar is located in Varso Place, right next to the famous Varso Tower, the tallest building in the EU. Trendy, modern, art-focused, with a very colorful & artistic design, it’s super popular, and definitely a happening place if you’re looking for some action. Think street art, murals, and neons that will wake up even the sleepiest traveler. 331 rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows with incredible views of Warsaw skyscrapers, modern tech, and bold decor. There’s a vintage arcade with games, DJs vibing in Clash Bar, and the famous Ether Rooftop Bar serves fabulous cocktails with unbeatable views.

🏨Radisson Collection 5⭐️ - the top-tier luxury among the group, this stylish & chic hotel is modern but warm, and boasts great views, a luxurious pool, spa with saunas and a hot tub, a well-equipped gym, 3 lovely restaurants & bar, and an executive lounge. 331 rooms have designer touches, a soothing, neutral color palette with earthy tones, wood elements, and all the expected amenities. It’s Scandinavian flair that maximizes natural light.

14 OF MY FAVORITE LUXURY HOTELS IN WARSAW - FROM HISTORIC PALACES TO CUTTING-EDGE MODERN & SUSTAINABLE DESIGNS
PART 2

Following up on my last post about Warsaw hotel choices, here are another 5 hotels I really like that span a whole gamut of design options from classic elegance to strikingly modern:

🏨H15 Boutique Hotel 5⭐️ - part of group, this lovely hotel is located in central Warsaw in a beautiful 19th century storied building that housed the Russian Embassy at the beginning of the 20th century, and later German Wehrmacht which saved it from being demolished during the uprising of 1944. It’s a superb example of how well a modern design can be incorporated into a historic property. A stunning black & white lobby filled with light seeping through the glass roof, and giant white planters filled with olive trees, welcome you to this gem of a place. 47 contemporary rooms & suites (some with a terrace) have bold colors & cutting-edge design, and a feel of somewhat avant-garde private apartments. (For the nicest look & extra space, I recommend suites.) Dotted with striking art pieces throughout, all are individually appointed. A small, but well-thought-out, menu at Signature Restaurant tempts with Polish dishes reinterpreted for the modern palate, while black & white photos of famous cinema personalities add to the vintage look of the historic room. An atmospheric, eclectically furnished green bar is a nice addition, and a small gym will let you continue your fitness routine as usual.

🏨Hotel Bellotto 5⭐️ - a luxury hotel located in the historic 16th century Primate’s Palace near the Old Town, this quaint property, named after the famous Italian painter (also known as Canaletto), has only 20 rooms & suites. All bright and beautifully appointed with elegant tones of warm greys & dark wood, rich plush velvet fabrics, and black & white marble bathrooms, they each have slightly different, unique design due to the layout of the building. Some suites’ walls are even adorned with original watercolors by a well known local artist.

14 OF MY FAVORITE HOTELS IN WARSAW - FROM 5* LUXURY HEAVYWEIGHTS TO SMALL BOUTIQUE ONES
PART 1 of 3

With Warsaw quickly becoming one of the most popular destinations in Europe, there has been increased demand for quality accommodations. New hotels have been popping up like mushrooms, and the hotel scene is starting to look really exciting. The country is drawing huge amounts of tourists, but prices are still reasonable. However, as fast as everything is moving, I would highly recommend visiting as soon as possible, before they become prohibitive. Since it would be difficult to show all my favorites in one post, I decided to split it into 3 parts to give you a better idea of all the fabulous choices that await you. I have chosen a variety of places to suit your taste and budget (although all in the luxury category of 5 & 4 stars), so hopefully you’ll find something you like.

Here are the first 4 of my 14 favorites:

🏨Raffles Europejski - my absolute favorite, this gorgeous hotel, located in one of the prettiest areas of the city, goes back to 1857. It has recently been restored to its former glory under the prestigious brand. From the stunning design, beautiful, spacious & almost extravagantly luxurious 106 rooms & suites, to fabulous restaurant and bar, a great spa, and superb service, you simply can’t go wrong

🏨Hotel Bristol - part of the , this legendary hotel has been a fixture on Warsaw’s high society scene since 1901. The Art Deco beauty, located on the famous Royal Route (and across from Raffles), features 206 beautiful rooms & suites, a restaurant, the iconic café/patisserie (my favorite), 2 outstanding bars, & a spa with an indoor pool. Furnished in classic lines, it beautifully combines modern finesse with historical elements

🏨Hotel Verte - located right in the historic Old Town in a restored 18th-century Baroque palace, it will make you feel like royalty. This recently opened, gorgeous property, part of the , boasts 94 rooms & suites, yet still manages to feel like a boutique property.

WARSAW SHOULD BE ON EVERYONE’S LIST OF PLACES TO SEE IN EUROPE RIGHT NOW - 17 MOST IMPORTANT SIGHTS NOT TO MISS - PART 2

For a long time, Budapest and Prague were touted as THE places to visit in Eastern and Central Europe. But Warsaw is slowly taking over as the hottest, yet still somewhat undiscovered city. Following on my previous post, here are a few more sites I consider important and worth seeing if your travels take you to my hometown. They may not be the ones everyone talks about, or even the most stunning, but they are an integral part of Warsaw’s history, and I highly recommend them. Even if you’re not into museums much, those I list here, in addition to the Museum of the History of Warsaw I mentioned in the last post, will give you a much better understanding of not only the capital, but also Poland itself. For all the top sights, please refer to my previous post.

🇵🇱Vistula Boulevards & the Multimedia Fountain Park - a lovely riverside promenade with views of Warsaw’s famous bridges, and the panorama of Warsaw you can admire from the other side (there’s a pedestrian bridge). There are many seasonal clubs & cafés along the water, some located on old barges. You can also take a cruise along the river. The Multimedia Park has free shows on Fri/Sat May-September. The famous Mermaid’s Statue, erected in 1939, is a symbol of Warsaw’s resilience and protection. It features in the city’s coat of arms, symbolizing its urban identity and connection to the river

🇵🇱University of Warsaw Library and Gardens - a renowned architectural masterpiece, featuring one of Europe’s largest free-access rooftop gardens, it opened in 1999, combining modern, eco-friendly design with a 17,000-sq-m green oasis divided into color sections, thematic garden areas, ponds, fountains, and distinct granite sculptures, and offering panoramic city and Vistula River views. Designed to merge with the landscape, the building itself is covered in foliage, and houses the library, shops, cafés, and the Gallery of Polish Posters (open April-October)

THE HOTTEST CITY IN EUROPE RIGHT NOW: HISTORIC, MODERN, VIBRANT, DYNAMIC - 17 MOST IMPORTANT SIGHTS IN WARSAW NOT TO MISS

The historic city of Warsaw is booming. With its rich heritage and turbulent history, it is often known as the “Phoenix City” since it literally rose from the ashes after being bombarded and burnt to the ground as the retribution for the Uprising of 1944. 84% was destroyed in the process. Reconstruction took years, with many famous buildings neglected during the communist period. Often called “Paris of the North”, thanks to its elegant architecture, boulevards & parks, it has found its new life in the last 30+ years, completely reinventing itself & becoming one of the most exciting hubs of economic growth, modern architecture, and well-preserved historical sites, including its beautiful UNESCO-listed Old Town. It is also a very green city, with 40% of it covered by parks & gardens.

I did many detailed posts on Warsaw in Aug/Sept 2021, so this one just pulls it all together into a convenient, savable one.

Here are 17 of the most important and interesting sights in my hometown:

🇵🇱Royal Castle and the Castle Square - designated by UNESCO as WHS they are a symbol of Polish resilience & sovereignty. The 16th-century castle was a former residence of Polish kings, the seat of parliament, and the place where the world’s 2nd constitution was adopted in 1971. It was completely destroyed during WWII. Its gorgeous rooms in Baroque & Neoclassical style hold a masterpiece art collection, including paintings by Canaletto, & Flemish tapestries. The square serves as the entrance to the Old Town, with the oldest & tallest secular monument in Warsaw dedicated to King Sigismund III Vasa

🇵🇱Old Town Market Square - reconstructed after WWII using 18th century techniques & historical paintings, this charming square features vibrant multi-colored merchant houses in Gothic & Neoclassical style, and the historic Mermaid statue. Originally a bustling heart of Warsaw’s commerce, civic life, and the site of markets & public ceremonies, it is now filled with traditional Polish restaurants, cafés, galleries, artists & street vendors

WHY I WILL NEVER UNQUESTIONINGLY GLORIFY PLACES I TRAVEL TO LIKE MOST INFLUENCERS DO -
AND WHY IT’S IMPORTANT TO POINT OUT THE GOOD AND THE BAD ASPECTS OF EACH PLACE

I haven’t been to every country in the world, no. But, I have been to enough of them on different continents to learn that, while traveling is certainly a great pleasure, and one of the most wonderful things we can do to learn about other cultures, nations and peoples, it also carries with it a responsibility to be truthful. But nowadays, truth is often met with anger, disapproval, disappointment, and even hate. My last post is a good example of that.

Let me first say that I am, by nature, a very positive person. I don’t try to find things to complain about or criticize, and neither do I take pleasure in, sometimes, having to point out the negative aspects of a destination. Same goes for hotels, businesses, etc. I always try to see the positives, first and foremost, but I will never ever shy away from mentioning what bothers me, even if my readers don’t like it or agree with it.

The world is a beautiful place, and there are many stunning locations to see and explore. But, none of them is perfect. And believing that they are is not only misguided, but usually shows lack of knowledge, and a very one-sided point of view. As much as I have tremendously enjoyed many places, I will NEVER glorify them without showing the other side as well when necessary. Otherwise, it’s fiction, a fairytale. Love me or hate me for it, I consider it a responsible thing to do.

The biggest issue I’ve had over the past years with the travel sphere is that most influencers have done exactly that - glorified locations for views, brand deals, income, and just plain self-promotion, to such a degree that we completely lost the ability to be critical, and also to accept criticism, of locations as something normal and necessary. ALONG THE WAY, WE HAVE ALSO LOST, AS HUMANITY AS A WHOLE, THE ABILITY TO ACCEPT ANOTHER POINT OF VIEW WHEN IT’S DIFFERENT FROM OUR OWN. ☹️

MY THOUGHTS ON BUDAPEST - WHAT I LOVED, WHAT I DIDN’T, AND WHAT MADE ME SAD

Budapest is a truly fascinating and beautiful city. Full of gorgeous architecture and historic gems, it is a city I would recommend to almost anyone. Especially at night, when this jewel of a city is magnificently lit, and shining in its full glory, it is so striking that I guarantee you will fall in love with it. But, despite this fact, it was a little bit of a mixed bag for me. Let me explain….

What I’m going to say is strictly my personal opinion, and your experience may be entirely different. Also, at this point, it applies only to Budapest, since that’s the only place I visited during my trip.

Having grown up in Poland, for many years I didn’t feel particularly inclined to visit other Eastern European countries. After many years of communism and socialism, they were run down, grey, dilapidated, and often downright depressing. Many of Hungary’s neighbors, including my own country, have moved on and, with many groundbreaking reforms, progressed in the most incredible and positive ways. Budapest and Hungary, however, not so much.
The government has been in the same hands for the last 16 years, promoting the self-described “illiberal democracy (what’s that!?🙄). Apart from the economic strategy that has resulted in widespread corruption, the country has caused major rifts with the EU & NATO. It shifted away from EU norms, and retained many of its old laws from the constitution of 1949, which dismantled necessary checks and balances. Not to mention that money from the EU, instead of being funneled into the economy and things like renovations and upgrades, is known to have been misappropriated by the ruling elite.

And while many of the most famous historic buildings & monuments have been beautifully restored as a matter of national pride, most of the city has not. You will often see soot-stained, weathered limestone architecture and lingering, ugly Soviet-style, communist-era concrete structures that have been left dilapidated, unclean and faded. This has created a somewhat colder, more industrial look in many parts of the city.

THE MANY ASPECTS OF ANANTARA NEW YORK PALACE THAT KEEP GUESTS COMING BACK FOR MORE - WHY YOU WILL FEEL LIKE YOU BELONG THERE AND WHAT TO EXPECT

As you enter the historic building of the Anantara hotel in Budapest, you are immediately taken aback by the soaring atrium covered with a giant glass roof, and filled with plants to create a sense of a green conservatory. The graceful arcades wrapping around it, with their sleek arches, create a feeling of a cloister-like sanctuary taken straight from the golden era of Italian Renaissance. Filled with natural light flooding the interior, it exudes serenity and calm, accentuated by the use of light cream colors of the walls. This is a place you don’t want to just quickly pass on the way to your room. It’s a place to take in, sit down in and relax over one of the hotel’s signature drinks, or a cappuccino sprinkled with 24-carat gold, then let the indulgence begin.

The rooms continue the theme, although with deeper colors & furniture to match. Designed in more of the Belle Époque style, they offer all the modern comforts & amenities, elevated by rich fabrics & beautiful lines. Most in earth tone colors of chocolate brown, beige & cream with a splash of muted gold, they create a palette that’s both luxurious and easy on the eyes without being ostentatious. Beautiful pieces of art add a special touch, placed against the dark mahogany furniture.
All rooms have Nespresso machines. Suites are extremely generous in size, with ample closet space and a minibar, making them feel more like retreats. One-way complimentary airport transfer & free ironing service (2 items/day) is a welcome added bonus.
Bathrooms feature exquisite floor-to-ceiling marble, separate tub & shower. My own bathroom, in striking contrast of white, grey & jade, was probably one of the most stunning & spacious bathrooms I’ve ever had in a hotel.

The famous New York Café drastically breaks with that quiet, relaxed feel in a dramatic and glitzy way. And maybe that’s part of the appeal. At this property, you can have both: soothing calm and glamorous opulence. It is a place you will talk about long after you leave it.
