🇬🇧 Yesterday was a day! All copies of my coffee-table book album The Soul of Africa's Wild arrived at my residence. After almost a year long project, I was able to look at the final product...emotions were flying high, but the quality didnt disappoint. In fact, I am very happy with the book - the workmanship, the paper and everything about it is what I hoped for. But, these are my feelings - I will be looking forward to hear your opinions once you receive your copies.

🇬🇧 The campaign to rise the funds for production of The Soul of Africa's Wild ended yesterday. Thank you ALL who supported me via early order of my album or Limited Edition rewards. We have raised enough money to cover 2/3 of the production cost, which is fantastic 😊👍🏻

Regarding the production - we are moving nicely towards accelerated date of print on set now on the 20 May 2026. All images are now print ready in the CMYK and Duotone format. In fact, I anticipate receiving colour proofs early next week. Proofs are printed on 60x40 cm panels and used later to monitor colours during the first production print. I am attaching few examples of images or 'parts' of images selected for proof prints.

Jeśli chodzi o samą produkcję – robimy postępy i zmierzamy ku przyspieszonej dacie druku, którą wyznaczyliśmy teraz na 20 maja 2026 r. Wszystkie zdjęcia są już gotowe do druku w formatach CMYK i duotonie. Spodziewam się, że na początku przyszłego tygodnia otrzymam próbne wydruki (proofy). Są one drukowane na arkuszach 60x40 cm i służą później do kontrolowania kolorów podczas głównego procesu produkcji.
W załączeniu przesyłam kilka przykładów zdjęć (lub ich fragmentów) wybranych do wydruków próbnych.

The Soul of Africa’s Wild will be a large-format, hard-bound coffee-table book (30×32 cm) featuring 180 colour and black-and-white wildlife photographs over 276 pages. Printed on a fine-art paper and produced by a specialist boutique press in Krakow, Poland, this book will be crafted to the best quality standards. All photographs were taken in the wild, without baiting, staging or digital manipulation beyond standard processing. No AI and No composites. Just authentic moments from Africa’s wilderness.

It is a tribute to Africa’s iconic animals and the fragile ecosystems they depend on. This collection reflects more than 15 years of photographing wildlife across Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda. Rather than focusing on specific species or locations, the book highlights emotion, presence, and connection - from intimate portraits to dramatic behaviour, from dusty golden light to quiet moments of stillness. My hope is to bring viewers closer to the spirit of the wild and inspire empathy for the landscapes we must protect.

Animals in motion...panning shots, the subdivision of the ICM technique (intentional camera movement). Having in my portfolio thousands of wildebeests images, I am focusing lately almost exclusively on trying to get evocative ICM photos. My latest visit to the area of Lake Ndutu allowed for some additional practice of this technique. Specifically I wanted to capture moments when animals are jumping-while running. You be the judge how it went ;)

Just finished one of my most challenging safaris to date...Rains in a greater Serengeti ecosystem dictated not only animals behaviour, but first and foremost dictated what can be seen. Many roads were simply flooded or water-soaked and impassable even for the well prepared landcruisers. Safari vehicles were stuck all around, including one incident with my guests - we actually had to call for help to get going 😱.
However, at the same time, we managed to see some of the most amazing sightings ever. One included lions on the kopjes of Serengeti...a male lions! Quick taste of that sighting in attached 3 photos. I liked it so much that one of images will land in my upcoming photo Album. All are in B&W as that format really brings the magnitude of that moment. Have a great weekend!
