What an incredible week with in NYC, hanging with some of the absolute greats.

What a pleasure to be part of this program celebrating music photography with so many people I love and admire. I’m so blessed to call so many friends. I’m always humbled to be part of these spaces.

Moreover so nice to share the room and see so many friends. Thanks to for bringing us all together. What a special time to all come together to celebrate music photography. Big love.

Lisbon on my Nikon Coolpix A. I only used this camera for the first two days or so of this trip, favoring my Z8 for the rest of the time. So these are essentially the only photos I made with this camera, I love these images just the same. They feel like sketches of the streets, lights and angles of this city.

I love the limitations of this camera. No viewfinder. Fixed lens. Toylike. For me, it breaks the expectations of my brain. The experience is so casual, so unserious.

Somehow it felt right to make these snaps with this P&S in these early days of this trip. Easing into the comfort of discomfort, the role of a stranger in a new place.

What a huge honor to document ’s historic performances at Madison Square Garden in NYC at the very kind invitation of my friend .

There was such a buzz of excitement, energy and pride — both on stage and in the crowd —in this iconic room. Diljit became the first South Asian artist to sell out the Garden for two nights.

It really did feel so special to be part of these shows working alongside a team of incredible artists.

Huge thank you to JK, , , , , , .works, , . A pleasure to work with this crew.

From Diljit’s now iconic performance on the Tonight Show last month to these two historic concerts on his Aura World Tour, it has been incredible to see the response to this music. First in the viral reactions of people connecting with “Morni” on Fallon, then in the joy of every face in the crowd of his fans at MSG.

I always say that meeting people is the best part of my job. Experiences like this are ones that I will always treasure. Not just for the images made, but for the trust, friendship and generosity that these opportunities represent. Every single person I worked alongside and met on the crew was just the most gracious and kind. I am beyond grateful.

I don’t know if I’ve ever felt like I have “made it.” But last year, I remember telling my parents that I was doing “portfolio reviews for at the headquarters for Rolling Stone.” I think that sentence rewired my brain a little. Because it felt like such an unbelievable statement to make, like a construction of words that shouldn’t be true.

But, somehow, it was.

My dad is a huge fan of the Beatles, so I feel like I’ve always know the name Abbey Road since I was a little kid. Being part of the NYC program for the with those portfolio reviews last year and then working on the shortlisting panel led by alongside , and , these photographers I love and respect so much, was an honor. The work to narrow down the pool of images to just a curated section of images for the judges to review was incredibly difficult. But what a privilege to debate a shared art with peers so renowned and kind.

This year, I’m so honored and excited to give a talk and do portfolio reviews as part of this year’s program. I don’t know if I’ll ever feel like I’ve “made it,” but so grateful to have these opportunities.

Looking forward to seeing everyone this week. If you see me, say hi!

delivered an incredible performance of “DANCE…” on the Tonoght Show. Just blown away by Slayyyter’s powerhouse vocals with this one.

This was a really challenging performance to photographer with a frenetic lighting treatment that matched the energy of this song perfectly. But also a treat for the energy on display.

Incredible stage visuals by for this one. The visual climax of fireworks behind Slayyyter amid a frenzy of flashing lights was so epic!

Shout out STL!

Join me for a talk on breaking into music photography and standing out in the music industry as a photographer.

Tuesday, May 26
10am - 12pm
Chelsea Studios
220 W 18th St
New York, NY 10011

The Music Photography Festival is returning to NYC and I’m so excited to be part of this incredible week of programs.

I’ll be giving a talk an lessons I’ve learned in music photography over my career, from starting out photographing basement dives to sold out stadiums, all the way to working as the photographer for the Tonight Show.

I’ll then be joined by my friend and colleague , director of photography for Madison Square Garden, who will moderate a discussion on breaking out in music photography today, and we’ll end with a Q&A.

I often get asked how to get noticed by festival media teams, how to work with brands, or get noticed by bands. At the core, I feel like a these questions and others we’ve all asked ourselves are really about how to stand out. Well dive into this and other topics about navigating music photography as a pro, challenges we face, business and more.

Incredibly honored to be part of this special week and I hope to see you for this talk. Last year it was such an incredible time to see so many people from our community come out, I know this year will have that same magic. Hope you I’ll see you there.

RSVP link to attend this talk and the rest of the week’s programs in bio.
