Gold Reef City Theme Park is built on the grounds of the former Crown Mines. The buildings and part of the mine are included into the park.
Visitors are equipped with a helmet and A Miners Lamp. The tour goes down the shaft with a mine elevator to about 250ms.
The Crown Mines are among the earliest and most important workings along the Main Reef of Johannesburg.

The Belém Tower , Lisbon.

Constructed in 1519 and modified and strengthened over time for Defence of Lisbon, The Belém Tower ( The Tower of Saint Vincent ) often portrayed as a symbol of european age of discoveries served as a point of embarkation and disembarkation for Portuguese explorers and as a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon.

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with the Jerónimos Monastery (see previous post) since 1983.

A former monastery of the Order of Saint Jerome near the Tagus river and Balem Tower, now a group of Museums and a huge sight for Artists . Inside are also several tombs including The Stone Tomb of Vasco Da Gama .

With just a few hours to our flight to Lisbon and most of the city unseen we had no option but to take the Hop on Off city sightseeing bus tour to grasp as much of the city as possible. Here are the glimpses of it.

This june I had the opportunity to visit Munich on a short trip to Germany and Portugal.
Greeted by a thunderstorm on the first day to we could explore little. The next day we set on a train to Garmich and from there to ZUGSPITZE. There are a few ways with which to get to the Summit. You can take the Cable Car Ride (From Eibsee) or you can take a train ride from Garmich that takes you through an oblique tunnel dug right through the mountain. You miss the 360 view of the beautiful alpine scenery in the later. The cable car took much less time way up than the train that we took it on our way back.
You can stop on your way at Eibsee lake and the beautiful town of garmich. Wish we had more time to spent there.
