Step into the Photo Booth and show us your Halloween costume. That is, if you show up on camera, of course 🧛

D.E.N.I.S. and PLANT are taking over Control for the 4th year in a row (big up for the commitment, guys. Didn’t know you scena locală people had it in you 🤝), and the Costume Contest tradition is back, bigger, better and spookier than ever.

Been working on that costume since November 1st last year? Think it deserves some recognition? Maybe even a little prize for all that very, very hard work? Get in the Photo Booth, strike a pose, and you’re officially in the running. All pictures go straight into the witch’s crystal ball, where the winners will be chosen. 🔮

And while you’re busy looking absolutely terrifying, the soundtrack is taken care of. The Doctor Denis Clinic is opening its doors for experimental musical procedures, while PLANT bring us the story of three very different criminals taking on the corrupt capital city of Bucharest.

Tonight in Club Control. See you there 🎃

This Halloween, film is undead… or whatever the dude with the deep voice narrating movie trailers in the 2000s would say… 🙄

But hey, if you’re feeling photoshooty this Halloween, here’s a film lineup to bring your spooky vision to life. Curated by your favourite film lab, of course 😉

👉 Harman Red, a redscale colour negative film (yes, that means the film is basically upside down!!), for hellishly red landscapes.

👉 Chemical XX, a classic film noir-esque emulsion that gets you 10% off Dev+Scan (but only if you bring it back to our lab 🤫).

👉 Harman Azure, an experimental film that turns your friends into blue aliens. And suddenly, the sky is orange?? 🤨

👉 Harman Phoenix, a classic Harman emulsion that brings reddish tones and fiery highlights to all your spooky abandoned places. We see you, urbex people 😉

Come on now, go shoot something weird. Something fun? Perhaps even, something spooky? 🎃

Seb went through 30 rolls of film at MBBFW. Thirty!! And then developed and scanned the whole lot himself. Ah, the joys of working in a film lab 😌

Please excuse us, we’re about to become the most annoying people on earth about how good our boy is: ARE YOU LOOKING AT THESE?? ON FILM, TOO!! 🤩

Too cool to sit on a hard drive forever. Here’s just a handful.

Love you, Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week. Thanks for giving us the chance to prove film still got it 💪

We don’t know abut you guys, but we’re really gonna miss calling it ColorPlus 🥹 Pour one out for them little orange boxes… and wave hello to Kodacolor 200. It’s shy but we promise it does not bite.

Kodak lore aside, one thing’s certain: you can now get Kodak film for less. As in less money going out of your bank account, and more money staying in your bank account. Love that for you. Financial stability, I think they call it?

We’re not talking 2015 kind of cheap, obviously. Let’s not get carried away. But it’s like we’ve turned back time by a year. And while that might not seem thaaat significant, imagine your back pain going back a year, too. Now THAT’S worth it, no?

It’s been a while since we met up to spend time together away from our phones and work with our hands… figured it was about time for another free workshop ⏱️👈

We’re gathering this weekend in the library of Centrul de Resurse în Fotografie to give old Kodak FunSavers a second shot at life.

We will:
👉 take them apart 🛠️
👉 load ‘em up with fresh film (that’s on us! 👋)
👉 put the cameras back together 📸
👉 bedazzle, paint, or sticker bomb! Give them a proper makeover 🤭

Sooo if you’re an avid film shooter who’s big into crafts, or you’ve been meaning to start your film journey, come make yourself a new camera. 📸

Spots are limited! Claim yours through the link in bio 💛 See ya for Bucharest Photofest
