...And this is a video that came from filming with my drone this year through several destinations in Romania. Though still a rookie pilot I think I've got a few smooth and nice shots (and a few risky ones too).
For the music I thought that Elven Bird's 'On the Road' would really meld those images into a whole and give it the feeling of a journey through the air.
You can't call me for a video until I get my license though 😉 so enjoy the ride, share the video and music and have a great holiday season. See you next year

The ocean is the last song on the official vinyl release of 'The Japanese Tree' and as a closing chapter keeps the lyrics simple but meaningful : time passes for all yet something to us seems close to being eternal - the never ending body of water that was home to so many stories. In this paradigm kingdom and friends fade through the years and sometimes you are your own best friend.

But the song is also about life, its fragility and effort to exist and to become. For such themes we have chosen the pregnancy of the artist as a means to visualize how fragile, tiny and far away in the universe we all feel. The ocean is melancholic but has a positive sunny side that shines as beauty clothed in sadness bearing hope.

The title is the first 4K video of the artist and was filmed in special conditions to better simulate the ethereal state of the main character and her surroundings.

Lilies (Where the lilies grow) is one of three piano-voice songs from 'The Japanese Tree' album, it was actually written 10 years ago but has only now found its final form and meaning in appearing on this disc.

The video is a real recording from around the time Iulia was almost five years old, a period just before the '89 Revolution in Romania. It's a mix of footage showing family moments and the purity and innocence of childhood and when all her dear ones were still alive.
