Landskrona Foto Festival starts today … and apparently so does the Swedish monsoon season. 😄
But the rain didn’t stop people from filling a tiny exhibition space at 100TOLVAN this afternoon for the opening of Min plats Öster.
I first heard about this project from my tennis friend Viktor Pålsson from Hej Öster, who was involved in coordinating it, so today I finally got to see the result.
And I loved the idea behind it: people who live in Öster photographing their Öster. Their streets, homes, neighbours and ordinary little details seen through their eyes.
While the big Landskrona Foto Festival opens across the city, this small exhibition is a lovely reminder that photography doesn’t have to be big, polished or professional to be worth seeing.
Huge congratulations to Viktor, everyone behind the project and especially the photographers who put their work on the walls. 👏

If you’re out exploring photography in Landskrona this month, don’t forget the little exhibitions. Sometimes that’s where you find the biggest stories.
