A few days ago I went out for a beaver hunt - and it was a successful one 🦫📸🤙.

I had already seen beavers close to where I live before, but I never had my camera with me.

So this time I walked around the lake Sicklasjön with my camera and spotted a beaver swimming in the lake. I followed it along the shoreline until I couldn’t see it anymore.

I almost thought I lost it, until I heard some cracking and rustling sounds in the bushes next to me. And there the beaver was, snacking on some tree branches 😁👌.

It was really cool to encounter wildlife so close to home, almost in the middle of the city 😇.

It’s time to celebrate Swedish National Day 🇸🇪🥳!!!

Ever since I moved to Sweden 6 years ago, I enjoyed exploring this beautiful country very much - from the sandy beaches in the south and the rugged cliffs of the West Coast to the stunning archipelago of Stockholm and the frozen landscapes of Swedish Lapland 🏝️🌊🏔️❄️.

Last weekend, my friend .bank.photography and I packed the kayaks and paddled through the Stockholm Archipelago towards Ängsö National Park in search of one of Sweden’s most fascinating wildflowers: the orchids known as Adam & Eve 🌺🌼.

What makes these orchids so special is their incredible color variation. Even though they belong to the same species, some bloom in deep purple tones while others appear bright yellow - growing side by side like nature’s own little artwork.

Moments like these remind me that adventure does not always have to mean travelling far away. Sometimes, the most magical experiences are just a kayak trip away.

And honestly… photographing wild orchids after paddling through the archipelago with a good friend sounds like a pretty perfect weekend to me 🌿✨

Kinnekulle is one of those magical places that I never get tired of visiting 🤩.

Once a year, in springtime, the forests and meadows of Kinnekulle turn into an enchanted world. The white flowers of the blooming wild garlic cover the entire forest floor, the leaves lush green, the giant oak trees standing strong like the guardians of the forest.

It’s truly like you are wandering through a fantasy world - you can literally hear the elves singing their magical chants on their way to the Grey Havens of Middle Earth 🧝‍♂️🧙🧌.

The Swedish West Coast is one of those places that keeps pulling me back again and again.

Wild granite cliffs, remote islands, charming fishing villages, endless sunsets over the sea, and some of the most beautiful coastal landscapes in Scandinavia.

In this carousel, I’m sharing 10 places along the west coast that absolutely deserve a spot on your bucket list 🇸🇪🌊.

Some are quiet and hidden. Others are iconic for a reason. But all of them have something special - the feeling of raw nature meeting the sea.

And the best part?

On Monday, I’ll be heading back to this incredible region together with a small group on my next Swedish West Coast Photo Tour. I honestly can’t wait to explore some of these places again, chase the light, and experience the coastline in its best form.

Some moments in nature feel almost unreal 🤯.

And seeing a rare white moose in the deep forests of Värmland was definitely one of them 🌲🫎🌲.

In Scandinavian folklore, they were often seen as spiritual guardians of the forest — mysterious beings that symbolized nature’s hidden magic and reminded people to respect the wilderness around them.

And honestly… after witnessing this incredible encounter myself, I completely understand why.

It felt less like wildlife photography and more like stepping into a Nordic fairytale 🐉🧌🧚🏻.
