TheTouaregE has just done its’ last trip with a diesel engine.
I’m aiming for having the engine and gearbox removed / separated from the car during the next weekend.

It runs great as is - the CEL is due to a bad coolant sensor..

Heyo!

I’m starting a new project for evenings / weekends:

I will be converting a VW Touareg to 100% electric.
I’m calling it .

The time plan is somewhere around 1-1.5 years, but on the other hand I am pretty optimistic as well.

The current status is:
A Touareg (year 2008) has been purchased, and the next step is to remove the drivetrain, start measuring and planning, and purchase a suitable motor + inverter unit.

The latest project:
A 2009 VW Touareg R50 V10 TDI.
Equipped with a 5.0L 10-cylinder twin turbo charged diesel engine, putting out 350hp/850nm, it’s a big and heavy beast.
Being a very limited production, these are pretty hard to come buy. Especially with the right color and optional equipment.
