Apparently, couples weren’t just remembering the photos anymore.

It’s been awhile since I last covered a traditional Malay void deck wedding in Singapore…
and honestly, stepping back into one felt strangely nostalgic.

No grand ballroom.
No luxury hotel lighting.
Just an HDB void deck slowly transforming into something full of life.

The sound of kompang echoes through the block.
Kids running around. Relatives shouting across tables. Last minute changes happening every few minutes.
Controlled chaos… but somehow, everything still comes together beautifully.

This vlog follows us behind the scenes as we document a real Malay wedding from the perspective of wedding photographers and videographers.

The rushing around.
The adapting on the fly.
The random funny moments.
The pressure to capture memories before they disappear.

These are the kinds of weddings that remind me why I started doing this in the first place.
