In kuajok Warrap state High Court, a man and his wife were in court seeking a divorce.

The main issue before the court was, Who should have custody of the child, the father or the mother?

The woman quickly stood up and said:

“My Lord, I am the child’s mother. I carried her for nine months, went through pain and labour and brought her into this world.”

The judge then turned to the man and asked for his defense.

The man calmly replied:

“My Lord, I have just one question…
When you insert your ATM card into an ATM machine and money comes out, does the money belong to you or to the machine?” 😳🙄

JUST IN: President Salva Kiir arrived in Kampala on Sunday, May 10, to attend the inauguration of President-elect Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. The ceremony, scheduled for Tuesday, marks the start of Museveni’s seventh term following the January 15, 2026, elections where he received 71.65 percent of the vote, according to official report.

While in Uganda, President Kiir will hold meetings with President Museveni to discuss ties between South Sudan and Uganda and regional matters. Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, the President was received by Ugandan officials and inspected a guard of honor.

The corrupt police officer Captain Richard Ruai Kuol appears to think he can get away with the crime he committed in public. The video is enough evidence of him assaulting a rickshaw rider with a stick on a busy road in Juba. Richard Ruai Kuol spoke to Eye Radio, describing the rickshaw rider as a gang member, and later apologized. However, many South Sudanese say they are not satisfied with his apology.

Some have stated that Richard Ruai Kuol assaulted a South Sudanese citizen and are demanding justice.

There are growing calls for the Minister of Justice, Hon. Michael Makuei Lueth, to urgently look into the case and ensure proper legal action is taken.

🚨..19km Feeder Road Between Marial Baai and Chelkou Launched.

A 19-kilometer feeder road connecting Marial Baai and Chelkou in Aweil West County, Northern Bahr el Ghazal State, has been officially launched. The project was funded by the European Union and implemented by the World Food Programme (WFP) in partnership with AFO.

Speaking during the inauguration ceremony in Chelkou, the European Union Ambassador to South Sudan, H.E Per Enar Enarsson, said it was an honor to hand over the EU-funded feeder road, along with rural irrigation and water yard projects, to the state government and local communities.

“This handover reflects the European Union’s continued support to the people of Aweil through partnerships that promote sustainable development and peace resilience in South Sudan,” he said.

The State Minister of Lands, Housing, and Public Utilities, Hon. Dominic Kang Deng, confirmed the official handover of the feeder road constructed in Aweil West County, particularly in Chelkou Boma of Gomjuer West Payam.

He noted that the ceremony was attended by Acting Governor Dr. Tong Lual Ayat, the EU Ambassador, and representatives from various state ministries.

The WFP Country Director, Adam Effendi, expressed appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality extended to the delegation. He also thanked the European Union for funding impactful development projects.

“I thank the government of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State and the communities of Chelkou for their cooperation during the construction of the feeder road between Marial Baai and Chelkou,” he said.

The AFO representative in Aweil also expressed gratitude to the government and EU delegation for their commitment in delivering the project.

He highlighted additional initiatives implemented by AFO, including a project on pastoralism and livestock adaptation to climate change in Eastern Africa. This includes solar-powered multipurpose boreholes in Amethou Boma, Gomjuer Payam.
