Fangak Studio Media is pleased to share the successful thiang community association meeting held in Juba, where leadership was officially handed over to the newly elected committee.
The meeting was attended by key leaders, including the Thiang Women Network Chairlady, Thinyin Ruea, thiang elders, and the Thiang youth association in Juba led by Chairperson Yiek Nei Kuer Mut, along with senior youth representatives.
During the event, the nominated chairperson, Kueth Diew Gatpan, shared his vision for the community. he emphasized that his main goal is to establish an official office for the thiang Community association in Juba. he expressed confidence that, with God’s guidance, this dream could be achieved within less than two years. he noted that having a permanent office would provide a central place for meetings and coordination of community activities.
Following the deliberations, the community officially elected the executive committee (EC), with Hon. David Kueth thiyang Luk selected as Chairperson. In addition, the community agreed that, if preparations go well, celebrations will be held on 5th may. the general assembly also authorized the executive committee to organize contributions to support community activities and development.
The outgoing chairperson, Simon Garbang Jock, expressed his sincere appreciation to the thiang community for the trust they gave to him and his team to lead. he thanked all members for their cooperation and support during his time in office.
