The Padang Football Association Technical Committee released an official statement dated 9th May 2026 addressing two serious incidents of violence that occurred during the Padang Peace Tournament 2026.
According to the statement:
1. During the match between Khorfulus FT and Panaruu, a Khorfulus FC player identified as Gabriel Mijok (jersey number 1) physically assaulted the referee.
2. In the match between Luac Akook and Ngok Lual Yak, a Luac Akook player identified as Ramadan John (jersey number 24) also physically assaulted the referee.
As a disciplinary measure under Article 6, Subsection 6.3 of the Padang Peace Tournament Rules and Regulations, both players have been officially disqualified from the 2026 tournament.
The committee further announced that the suspended match between Khorfulus FT and Panaruu will resume from the 73rd minute using the same lineup that was on the pitch before the incident.
Additionally, the central referee involved in the Khorfulus vs Panaruu match was also stood down for allegedly attempting to physically retaliate after being assaulted, which the committee described as a breach of neutrality.
The statement concluded by reminding all teams, players, and officials to uphold discipline, peace, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
