Surabaya Adventure 🚆🌋💦

From Yogyakarta to Surabaya, we chose the scenic route aboard Indonesia’s newest panoramic train. We were so grateful to get the last four available seats on a carriage with only around 38 seats, making the journey feel even more special.

For four hours, we sat back and enjoyed the ever-changing views of Java’s lush rice fields, rolling hills, and peaceful countryside while sipping our coffee and bento Sometimes the journey is just as memorable as the destination.

Then came the real adventure! We skipped a night’s sleep to make it to Mt. Bromo before dawn. Riding a jeep through the volcanic landscape in the darkness was an experience in itself, and watching the sun rise over the volcano was simply magical. Moments like these remind us of the beauty and majesty of God’s creation.

Our adventure didn’t end there. After Bromo, we continued to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. Reaching the falls wasn’t easy—we rode a motorbike for about 40 minutes, followed by a one-hour hike through steep, slippery, muddy, and sometimes watery trails. It was challenging, but the reward at the end was absolutely breathtaking.

It was a long and exhausting day, but every moment was worth it. Grateful for the adventure, the stunning landscapes, and the memories we’ll cherish .The best adventures aren’t always the easiest—but they’re almost always the most unforgettable.

Jogya is located in the central southern part of Java Island in Indonesia. Its about an hour flight from Jakarta and 7-8 hrs by train. This place is known for its educational and cultural capital of the country . This city is where history, culture, and adventure come together. In just a short visit, we wandered through the lively Malioboro Street at night, explored the centuries-old Borobudur Temple, stepped back in time at Taman Sari Water Castle, and chased adventure on the slopes of Mt. Merapi.
So much to see, so little time—but every stop made this journey unforgettable. Until next time, Jogja! ❤️
