A quick 30 hours with my bride in Bangkok this weekend. We came down to celebrate her birthday. It’s been 5.5 years since the last time we were down here together. We Ate a lot, walked a lot and saw a lot. Great trip but ready to head back home to Chiang Mai.

I didn’t want to pack much so I brought the 35mmf1.4 as it’s my smallest and lightest weight lens I own now. 🤣 i usually like to just bring my 23mm1.4 but the 35 is so much smaller and lighter ! And let’s face it, the 35mm1.4 is one of the magical fuji lenses.

Nothing better than the Chicago River walk during summer. This summer while we visited America, we did the architecture boat tour. I’d definitely recommend it if you haven’t done it yet. It will definitely make you even more appreciative of all the great buildings along the river in Chicago.

I love many things about shooting on a Fuji, but the film recipes and the grit of the photos are my favorites. Some photos look super old. You just don’t get that look from other cameras without a ton of post editing.

Sneak peak : Last weekend I had the honor of capturing prewedding photos for 2 of our friends/coworkers.

It was a long day but sooo fun. Couldn’t have done this with out the small army of people who came to help with hair/makeup, translating, carrying supply’s, capturing some video and 2nd shooting, but most of all, my faithful sidekick Heather Durick who always knows how to pose people naturally, sees every detail, and makes my job so much easier.

Every time I get on the blue line at Cumberland, my excitement level is always so high because of the day in Chicago that lies ahead. But when I return to this stop at the end of the day, I’m also excited because I’m ready to get home! 🤣
