Right before the Hindu ceremony began, there was this.
The Jaimala, the exchange of flower garlands, Nitesh and Renee, standing under the full Phuket sun, placing flowers on each other with the kind of care that says everything words can’t.
It’s a small ritual. A few seconds, really. But it’s also the first formal moment of “us” the first exchange, the first acceptance, the first yes before the bigger yes that would follow at sunset.
The light was almost too perfect. The kind you can’t ask for, only get lucky with.
