Who's visited New York's infamous urban park in Manhattan? 🤔

Even though I've observed many contrasting sceneries including rich/poor and modern/traditional on my travels, one snapshot that has lodged in my memory is this. 📸🧠

The disparity between the lush greenery which overhangs this park (which was well known for being featured in the blockbuster movie 'Home Alone') and the encapsulating skyscraper city backdrop was one i had to stop and truly admire for a moment. 🌳🌇

PS: New Yorkers, please take care of your beautiful park. 😍

NIAGARA FALLS, CANADA 🇨🇦

The start of an epic family holiday around the USA and Canada commenced with a trip to the awe-inspiring Niagara Falls. 🚢

The famous falls, fed into from three differing water systems (namely Horseshoe Falls, American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls), transport an astounding six million cubic feet of water each and every minute! 🌊 😱

KEELUNG HARBOUR, TAIWAN 🇹🇼

When staying in Taipei, why not check out some of the popular surrounding areas like Jiufen, Shifen and - pictured here - Keelung? 🤔

Keelung, which is most famous for its night market, which adorns many vibrant gold-coloured lamps, is easy to reach from the Taiwanese capital of Taipei.💡

Taking a train from Taipei Main Station will cost you from as little as $41 NT /£1.03 / $1.33 USD, and will take a duration of around 40-70 minutes.
Trains run every 15-20 minutes, so there is no need to plan ahead too much. 🚅

Built and opened on April 5 1980, on a site that was originally intended to become a military base, Chiang Kai-shek has now become a popular tourist attraction. 🏗🏯

One of the main attractions of this splendid place is the daily change of the guards, which you can view every hour, on the hour, in this very building! 💂‍♂️💂‍♀️

Entrance is completely free, so there are no excuses not to visit here the next time you're visiting Taipei! 😜

ELEPHANT MOUNTAIN, THE EYES OF TAIPEI CITY 🇹🇼

Officially known as Xiangshan Hiking Trail, Elephant Mountain is the eyes of Taipei, and one of the most visited locations in the capital city of Taiwan by many tourists and photographers. 🐘📸

With any highly touristic location though, you have to wonder, is it worth visiting? Are the hordes of people going to dilute the overall experience? 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦👨‍👩‍👧‍👧

ONE DAY IN JIUFEN – WHAT TO SEE AND DO.

Originally an old gold mining mountain village located in the Ruifang District in northeast Taiwan, Jiufen was built by the Japanese in 1893. Although, as years passed, Jiufen’s characterful village evolved into more of a tourist attraction.

The tourist boom fully took hold following Hayao Miyazaki’s Academy Award winning 2001 anime movie release, Spirited Away, which was inspired by this very village.
