Can Reiki really cause harm? Superficial answer: No. But let's dive deeper. Anyone can SAY they are a Reiki Practitioner, mimic the hand motions and some symbols they found online, and call it "Reiki". But without the Attunement, they are not channelling Life Force Energy and the symbols are ineffective. A poorly trained practitioner or someone who is not trained at all is doing more harm than good. This is why it is important to build trust with your practitioner and to trust your gut if you get a bad feeling about them.

When it feels like nobody has been listening, the trees know all the depths of your pain.
When it feels like nobody is supporting you, the Earth says, "you can safely fall and I will always catch you."

I want to tell you the story of the premature butterfly.

One day, a little boy was walking through the forest, picking up rocks and sticks. On his way, he saw a butterfly trying to break out of its cocoon. As you know, sometimes it takes quite a while for this process to happen, and it can be challenging for the butterfly. So the little boy comes up to the butterfly and says, "here, let me help you speed up the process! I can take away the challenge of breaking through." So he got the butterfly out, but its wings were not fully formed. The little boy then picks up the butterfly and tosses it into the air, assuming it will spread its wings and take flight, but it fell to the Earth.

In the process of our growth, we often try to avoid the challenge of it all. Without the struggle, we can't fully appreciate stillness. Without the challenge, we can't fully understand the lesson. Progress and growth happens with time.

Slow down, and ask yourself "what is there to learn in this moment?"
