The insanely gorgeous highland park + moments like these 🌸

Cherry blossoms are already starting to fall, lilacs are just about to bloom, and for a short window, everything overlaps in the best way.

It doesn’t last long but it’s one of the most beautiful times to be here.

What I love most about photographing weddings is helping couples experience their day as it unfolds; not rushing it, not forcing it, and not missing the moments that matter most.

This winter, I photographed a styled shoot at Fairhaven, moving through the property both indoors and out during mid afternoon. The spaces flow beautifully, allowing portraits to happen naturally as the day moves.

Fairhaven is the kind of place that supports a wedding day that breathes. There’s room to slow down, shift spaces easily, and stay present...all while creating imagery that feels timeless and true to you.

✨ When I started Lumenopia, all I wanted was to create something that would still mean something long after the moment had passed.

I’ve never chased perfection, I chase connection. The kind that feels natural, lived-in, and real.

The name Lumenopia comes from lumen (light) and opia (the eye)... a reminder that every story is shaped by how we see it, and the light we let in.

Photography might just be my favorite art form because it preserves what I think is the greatest gift of life, our memories. The ones that remind us who we are, where we’ve been, and who we love most.

Five years later, I’m still honored to hold space for that light — yours and mine. To grow with returning families and meet new ones who trust me to tell their stories.

Photography is endlessly fascinating to me… one photo can look completely different depending on the light, the edit, and the emotion behind it. And I’m so grateful to still be creating among so many talented photographers in our area.
