At the age of 14, I received my very first digital camera and have been fascinated with photography ever since. I would photograph, videograph, create, and edit over the years; making commemorative videos for loves ones, taking maternity, engagement, portrait, and landscape shots. I never thought I could chase this as a profession, so after finishing school, I moved to San Francisco, CA in search
of an “ideal” job. Over the last 15 years I worked in retail, dental, healthcare, insurance, and property management; I’ve done it all. It wasn’t until the pandemic that I decided to finally take a leap of faith. In 2022, I began creating my business and at the beginning of 2023, I started Jaxson Ray Photography LLC. I’m a passionate self-taught photographer based in Albuquerque, NM and my main passion and focus is event and portrait photography. I love seeing my clients’ reaction to what I captured from behind my lens. When I decided to pursue photography, I didn’t know exactly where this journey would take me. A couple of years later, I’m here living out my dreams by providing amazing, heart-warming, and unforgettable memories. I currently live in New Mexico with my beautiful wife and pup. When we aren’t relaxing at home, you can catch all 3 of us hiking, biking, or camping; yes, we take our pup biking and she loves it! A hobby of mine is woodworking by creating and restoring furniture for our home. I have completed over 35 projects with just a drill, screw driver, and hand saw. They call me “The Jax of all Trades”. When I have a vision, I bring it to life.
