Organized in 1903 and officially named in 1904, Fairview Fire Company originally operated from 1012 South 6th Street before moving to its South 7th Street firehouse in 1911.

This photograph captures members of Fairview Fire Company alongside their horse-drawn fire apparatus, a reminder of an era when horsepower meant exactly that.
