I think I’ve been covered in paint and markers since the day I was born.
Creating has never been something I learned — it’s something I’ve always been. The girl with stained hands, filled up sketchbooks, and a heart that felt most at home when I was making something out of nothing.
Lately, I’ve felt it pressed gently, but persistently, on my heart again.
To create more.
To paint more.
To write more.
To collect stories.
To chase adventures.
To pay attention to the quiet moments that deserve to be remembered.
And so this year… I’m saying yes.
Yes to picking up the paintbrush again.
Yes to filling pages with words.
Yes to leaning deeper into photography — the art form that lets me hold stories in my hands and preserve moments that would otherwise slip quietly into the past.
Photography has always been an extension of that same creative thread. It’s painting with light. It’s storytelling without words. It’s proof that beauty exists everywhere if you’re willing to see it.
And Alaska… Alaska is the perfect muse.
The wildness. The softness. The stillness. The way the mountains hold stories and the ocean whispers them back. This place constantly invites me to create, to notice, to feel.
I don’t know exactly what it will all look like yet. But I do know this: I’m following the pull.
So maybe keep your eyes peeled… there might be some new, fun projects coming to life this year. 🎨✨
Thank you to my friend, Rachel Leigh Scott for taking these a few years ago. 🤍
