A little past 4 this afternoon, AFD was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire on Pearl Dr near the Old Seward/Dowling intersection. Truck-12 was first-in and reported smoke visible from the structure. The fire was located a short time after, and a working fire was called. A working fire means that arriving units have confirmed that there is an active fire, and in Anchorage, this declaration attaches REH14. Rehab-14 is a specialized truck cross-staffed out of Station 14 that carries extra air bottles, drinking water, snacks, and other supplies for firefighters operating on an extended and strenuous scene. No injuries were reported on this fire. Batt-1, Batt-3, ALS-2, Safety-1, PIO, Engine-4, Engine-9, Engine-12, Truck-1, Truck-12, Rescue-4, Medic-4, & Rehab-14 responded.
