You know it’s a solid partnership when you sign your marriage certificate on your partner’s back. ❤️

May will soon be here (and I can’t wait! It’s one of my favorite months), which means wedding season! Though I’ll be taking this May off work to heal and care for our soon-to-arrive newborn, I look forward to being a part of couples’ big days this summer. This beautiful mama and her babes look so relaxed, soft, and in their element on this grassy knoll.
(Cut to me squatting, camera in hands as my heels sink into mud and I try not to lose my balance and fall in the creek! 😅 But oh so worth it to capture these sweet lovelies!) I enjoy this work no matter how many thistles I have to pick off my pants or shoes I ruin. These are reasons I love it, because I get to be outdoors, move my body, and let creativity flow through me. Being able to create everlasting moments with my clients trumps the knee aches, headaches (hello editing screen time), toddler tantrums (make for some good bloopers/outtakes), and everything else that comes with it. Yay photography!

Often times, kids have the best and most creative ideas. Mid-session the kids ran to play and pose under this dreamy weeping willow tree (why are willows so magnetic and magical?). I sprinted to catch up with them in order to capture it, knowing it could be a fleeting moment. It might just be my favorite image I made (co-created) last season, thanks to these creative, free-spirited kids!
