My parents are the cutest grandparents! Here’s some photos I recently took of them and wanted to share. Being biracial definitely comes with its identity issues, insecurities and feelings of not being enough. Sometimes you feel like you don’t belong. You aren’t white enough or black enough but you’re always aware that you’re different. Instead of white privilege you have light skin privilege... which is real. I’ve always felt guilty for having that privilege when I know others suffer worse. None of us get to choose what color we’ll be but we do choose how we will treat others. I’ve been blessed with two amazing parents who treat everyone with love and respect. They taught me that I don’t have to be one or the other but rather a bridge between the two. I know I can be better about using the privileges and opportunities I have to help others and these hard times give us that opportunity to evaluate and improve. There’s so much beauty in our differences and I hope one day the world can celebrate that! 🤟🏼🤟🏾🤟🏿 @ Apex, North Carolina
