Greg Goodman • Photographic Storytelling A Journey Awaits — Explore a lifetime of photos, stories, travel, family, feelings, and personal growth.

For a decade, my wife and I backpacked, volunteered, and lived around the world. ✈️🌎

It was a transformational time of personal growth and unforgettable adventures, as I constantly catapulted myself out of my comfort zone. Along the way, I shared our adventures on my award-winning travel blog - adventuresofagoodman.com

My mantra was “follow your heart and success will follow you. 🌈

Turns out t

he Universe was listening, as my Photographic Storytelling appeared in galleries, publications, airports, billboards, and even a National Geographic TV show. Fast forward to today, Carrie and I have two kids and a home in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Extended backpacking expeditions have been replaced by local jaunts and family outings. Yet, our travel spirit lives on. 🏔

Just had the most wonderful experience at Claw Daddy. I figured nobody was gonna win anything. I told both my kids they’d get two tries.

My son won a stuffy on his first try. My daughter didn’t have the same luck and we ended up running out of credits. And right when I thought we were about to walk out with one happy kid and one not so happy kid, the owner stepped in.

Maybe it was a smart business move or maybe it was a kind person who understood how much it matters when one sibling wins and the other does not. Either way, he tapped his own card on the machine and gave my daughter a free try.

She won.

Two happy kids. One happy dad. A beautiful little moment of humanity that I’m still thinking about.
