**MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT**

Hello everyone!
I have been fairly quiet for quite some time and it's in part because I was trying to format how to make this announcement. 2020 was a difficult year to weather due to major changes with COVID impacts as well as our big move to a different state. Moving the business was more difficult than I had imagined on the business side of things with more licenses and taxes to take care of here in Virginia compared to Ohio.
Unfortunately nothing could prepare me for the horrible year 2021 would be. Early in the year my mental health took a very steep decline causing my whole world to halt. As I took the time to heal, I realized the business I started back in 2017 because I enjoyed photographing your families and special moments has become more of a chore than something I truly enjoy anymore. Please do not get me wrong. I still enjoy our sessions together. It is the behind the scenes part that has ruined it all for me.
Because of this and because I am committed to my family first and foremost and want to provide my children with a happy childhood, Mayfield Photography LLC has decided to close our doors. We will not be booking any new sessions for the remainder of this year unless I have already been in talks with you. We also will not be holding holiday minis this year.
This was not an easy decision to make and I am incredibly thankful to EVERYONE who has aided along in our journey from the friends who let me practice before I even began my business to the photographers who let me assist on weddings at the beginning to the amazing and diverse families I have met along the way and so many more of you. You all made my life brighter with your smiling faces and the chances you gave me to laugh with your children.
I have no idea what the future has for me but I am very excited to be able to put more time into my family for now.
