In May, I got to spend a couple weeks in Georgia, and I'm pretty sure I snuggled the newest baby in our family almost all of those days. I even got to watch her for a bit while my kids were with their Nana. I was in newborn baby bliss. Definitely my favorite stage, all the squishy cuddles and sleepy snuggles.

Also, I'm only a couple weeks behind posting these pictures of Piper. So, I'd say that's an improvement.

This is what my living room looks like the night before a newborn session. (I still have to bring in my lighting and backdrops). I pick out setups based on what colors and poses mama said they like during our phone consultation. I imagine how my session will flow and create a “plan”.

It’s better to plan than to go in blind but 9/10, I change my plans mid session and change up a color, fabric, texture…it’s just how I work best. And it starts out clean, but by the end of it, I have wraps and fabrics everywhere and fur all over myself.

It’s crazy, it’s chaos, and it’s also really fun even when it’s hard.
