Happy Mother’s day.
To every woman who has ever lost sleep, lost herself, and still showed up anyway.
To the queens. The bosses. The ones running households like empires with no days off and no applause.
To the ones with tired eyes and messy hair who still find a way to look their kids in the face and say I got you.
To the ones who fight — for their children, for their families, for a little piece of happiness that’s just theirs.
To the ones doing it alone. The ones doing it scared. The ones doing it while falling apart and nobody even knows.
You push through. You always push through. To those who never birthed a child but were mothers to the motherless. To those who, loved anyway, who lost, who have been betrayed, forgotten or felt unworthy, who drowned, fought and surfaced again.
However motherhood looks for you — biological, chosen, bonus, mothering your siblings, mothering your friends — today is yours.

Excited to be on the other side of this, watching instead of documenting. My beautiful youngest daughter is about to marry her best friend, and I can’t wait to watch all the beauty we’ve planned, unfold. I love every moment of the process, from spending time following her around in her coffee truck to all the wedding planning adventures. Life goes by so fast, and I am soaking up every single second of our friendship and time together.
