Preparing Details of Dutton for exhibition has meant narrowing years of photography at Dutton Island Preserve into a collection that can tell the story of this special place.
As a docu-art project, the exhibition isn’t simply a selection of Mat Courtney’s most dramatic photographs. Landscapes and wildlife share the walls with textures, light, forms and quiet details—the easily overlooked moments that have always been at the heart of Details of Dutton.
With the final selections made, Mat is now producing each exhibition piece himself—printing, inspecting, signing, matting and framing the photographs one at a time.
Juicy Lemon Studio would also like to thank Old Mill Woodworking of Savannah for crafting the custom natural-oak frames created specifically for this exhibition. Their work has become an important part of how these photographs will ultimately be presented.
