Some of my favorite images from a wedding day happen in the moments that were never planned. The walk from one place to the next, a dress getting a little dirty, shoes coming off, a quick laugh when something doesn’t go quite as expected. They may feel like the “in between” moments while they’re happening, but they’re often the photographs that bring you right back to what the day actually felt like.
That’s why I don’t believe in putting my camera down just because we’re between the big “posed” moments. Your wedding story isn’t only the ceremony, portraits, first dance, and carefully planned details. It’s everything happening around them, too. My job is to pay attention to it all, so when you look through your gallery years from now, you don’t just remember what your wedding looked like. You remember what it felt like to live it.
