One more thing checked off my pre-baby bucket list 🀄️

Turns out there’s a lot more to mahjong than the computer version I grew up playing 😂. And the cool thing is we have a dedicated mahjong studio right here in Chamblee where you can learn the game, meet new people, and just play your heart out. We had the opportunity to learn all about the game and Atlanta Mahjong Studio. They just recently moved to a bigger space and we love everything about it.

If you’ve been curious too, Atlanta Mahjong Studio offers classes for beginners right inside Atlanta Chinatown!

Newborn trenches are no joke. We mostly live in our pjs, eat, sleep, make milk bottles, and rinse and repeat.

Finally checked out Ginko Cafe in Downtown Duluth. We remember when this used to be Simply Done Donuts before.

We’re glad to see something delicious take its place with their Asian inspired menu. Definitely need to come back for their Che Thai Float.

I always seem to be let down by banana flavored lattes, but I still try ordering them at different spots in hopes k find one I like. Ginko’s Caramel Banana Latte surprised me in a pleasant way!

🌸 A new cafe + floral shop just opened in Dacula!

We found this little spot while soaking in some of our last slow days before baby arrives, and it’s such a cute place to grab a drink and hang out. 🤍

They serve coffee, milk teas and sweets from Lemon Sweets Duluth and you can even shop floral arrangements while you’re there.

What we tried:
🧋 Honeydew milk tea with tapioca — 5/10, tasted like a powder mix
☕ Rose Latte — 5/10, good rose flavor but coffee had more of that sour acidity
☕ Blueberry iced americano - 4/10, when the AI images let you down. This also had a sour acidity taste and not what we hoped.
🍰 Mango crepe cake — 8/10, light sweetness and fluffiness.

The garden out front might’ve been our favorite part. 🌿🌸 We think Dacula definitely benefits from a cute spot like this with a decent amount of seating to get some work done, catch up with friends, or take some cute photos. But we don’t think the drinks are up to par with some other cafes. We wouldn’t mind going back though to enjoy the scenery and maybe try a fruit tea or other drinks.

One last trip as two. 🤍

We didn’t realize how much we needed this weekend.

No itinerary to rush through.
Just good food, slow mornings, sunsets, and time together before we meet our little girl.

We know life is about to change forever, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Another new spot has joined the Buford Highway food scene. Irritable Claypot recently soft opened in Chamblee, serving Cantonese style claypot rice cooked fresh to order. The crispy rice at the bottom of the claypot is worth the wait and brings one of Southern China’s classic comfort foods to Metro Atlanta. 🆕 Must Buy Item at Costco

Costco released a new Filipino inspired ube tres leches cake and it’s delicious! You’ll probably want to buy 2.

For the locals, you should be able to find this at your nearby Costco, but it just may be low stock. So if you see it, grab it. Find it in the refrigerated aisles near where you would typically find the cheeses and salami.

SAVE this New Blue Ridge Farm for Your Summer & Fall Activity List 🚜👨‍🌾🌻

CATE Farms opened up for its second year and they’re celebrating with a big grand opening weekend this 4th of July Weekend starting 10am tomorrow (7/4). You can expect hay rides, dirty sodas, donuts, plenty of local produce, as well as U-Cut flowers (sunflowers & zinnias).

This family run farm offers delicious and fresh local produce that we found so many visitors and locals stopping by before they officially opened. And if you’re impressed by what you see this summer, just wait till you see what they offer for fall. All that dirt you see right now will soon turn into a large pumpkin patch for you and the family to return and pick your own pumpkins.

Toastique has arrived in Johns Creek!

They’re officially opening tomorrow Saturday, June 27th at 8am. Expect a DJ, kids activities, and FIRST 100 guests on opening day will receive a $50 Toastique Rewards credit (with any toast purchase) to be used on future visits. Those who are not the first 100 will still receive a free Drip Coffee or Small Juice (12oz) on tap with any $10+ purchase.

This was our first time trying the franchise and we were pleased with the healthy and protein packed options which makes this a great option if you’re watching your sugars.
