Fair week is officially here! 🎡

I’ll be working at the Eastern Michigan State Fair all week again, which means my response times may be a little slower than usual while I’m running around capturing all the behind-the-scenes magic.

That being said, I’ll already be at the fairgrounds and have room for a few fair photo sessions throughout the week! Whether you want couples photos, senior pictures, or just something fun and colorful with the midway as your backdrop, send me a message and we can find a time that works.

These photos were taken while they were waiting to meet their little boy, surrounded by so much love, hope, and golden summer light!

Since then, their sweet baby has arrived, but their journey has looked very different from what they imagined. They have spent the past few weeks in the hospital with him, navigating a season no family can truly prepare for.

This is why I believe photographs matter so deeply. My work is not simply about creating something beautiful. It is about preserving the chapters that become part of a family’s story, including the quiet anticipation, the way they held each other close, and the love that was already waiting for their baby before he ever entered the world.

Maternity photos are about so much more than documenting a growing belly. They’re about preserving the way this season felt before everything changed.

For this session, we made space for quiet portraits of mom, sweet moments between the two of them, and of course, a few with their first baby 🐾 Every location, pose, and outfit was chosen to create a gallery that feels varied, meaningful, and completely personal to their family.

My job is not simply to take pretty photos. It’s to guide you through the entire experience, help you feel comfortable in front of the camera, notice the little in-between moments, and create images your child will one day be able to look back on and see just how loved they were before they even arrived.

This chapter may feel fleeting, but your photographs don’t have to be. 🤍

Abigail and Blake’s wedding day at Lake Nepessing Boat Club was full of soft summer light, quiet glances, and the kind of joy that deserves to be remembered exactly as it felt.

My goal on a wedding day is never just to take beautiful photos. It’s to help my couples feel comfortable, keep the day moving without making it feel rushed, and notice the little moments they may not even realize are happening. The hand squeezes. The wind catching the veil. The way they look at each other when no one else is paying attention.

From their lakeside ceremony to golden hour beneath the willow trees, every part of this day felt unmistakably theirs.

A little life update:

A few weeks ago, I shared that life had been turned completely upside down. I unexpectedly lost a good portion of my belongings, was displaced from my home, lived in a camper for a couple of weeks, and spent what felt like forever washing every piece of clothing I owned while my apartment was professionally cleaned.

It definitely wasn't a season I expected, and it slowed me down more than I ever wanted it to.
But I'm happy to say life is finally starting to feel a little normal again!

I'm getting back into my routine, catching up on editing, and galleries will be heading out much more consistently again! If you've been waiting on photos from me, thank you so much for your patience and grace. It truly hasn't gone unnoticed, and I'm so grateful for every one of you.

Thank you for sticking with me through this unexpected season. I'm so excited to get back to doing what I love, serving my clients, and delivering your memories. I have so many beautiful galleries I'm excited for you to see!

A little life update from behind the camera.

After returning home from a beautiful Tennessee elopement, I walked into an unexpected situation that has temporarily turned life upside down. Due to a mold treatment performed in my apartment building, I've spent the past week dealing with extensive cleaning, replacing damaged belongings, and temporarily relocating with my two dogs while everything gets sorted out.

While I'm incredibly grateful that everyone is safe, this has created some unexpected challenges and may mean slightly longer response times, gallery deliveries, and turnaround times over the next couple of weeks.

Please know that your photos, projects, and messages are still important to me, and I'm working through everything as quickly as possible while rebuilding a bit of normalcy behind the scenes.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. It means more than you know!

Fresh little blooms and brand new beginnings 🌿🌸

I swear newborn sessions are part photography, part baby whispering, and part tiny art direction with the world’s cutest model. Every setup for this session was carefully styled around soft pinks, earthy greens, and all those cozy little details that make these first days feel so special.

One thing I never want parents to worry about is whether their baby will “cooperate.” Sessions are completely baby-led with plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, diaper changes, and settling in. My job is to create a calm experience while turning these fleeting little moments into artwork you’ll look back on years from now.

And can we talk about the tiny gardener setup for a second? 🪴🥹 Because I am absolutely obsessed.

These newborn days are sleepy, emotional, beautiful chaos… and they deserve to be remembered that way.

After a lot of thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to close my studio space at the end of this month.

This wasn’t an easy choice. Life has shifted quite a bit behind the scenes recently, and right now I need to make decisions that allow me to move forward sustainably, both personally and professionally.

I want to reassure everyone that LikeWise Photo & Designs is NOT closing. In many ways, I feel like this is simply a transition into a new season of my business!

I will still be offering:
• Outdoor sessions
• Weddings & elopements
• In-home newborn sessions (both lifestyle and posed)
• Milestone & smash cake sessions (in-home or outdoor)
• Access to my client closet, props, wraps, and styling pieces

For clients already booked in the studio:
You will absolutely still be taken care of. Newborn, milestone, and smash cake sessions can be moved to an in-home setup, or I will rent a studio space locally on a session-by-session basis when needed.

This studio held so many memories for me. So many growing families, tiny newborn yawns, maternity sessions, late-night editing marathons, laughter, chaos, and creativity. I’m incredibly grateful for every single person who supported this dream and trusted me inside that space.

With that said, I would love to fill the studio with a few more sessions before the end of the month. If you’ve been thinking about booking, this is your sign.

Moving forward, I’ll be focusing more of my energy on weddings, elopements, and outdoor storytelling sessions while continuing to create meaningful experiences for all of life’s seasons.
