Fresh little blooms and brand new beginnings 🌿🌸

I swear newborn sessions are part photography, part baby whispering, and part tiny art direction with the world’s cutest model. Every setup for this session was carefully styled around soft pinks, earthy greens, and all those cozy little details that make these first days feel so special.

One thing I never want parents to worry about is whether their baby will “cooperate.” Sessions are completely baby-led with plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, diaper changes, and settling in. My job is to create a calm experience while turning these fleeting little moments into artwork you’ll look back on years from now.

And can we talk about the tiny gardener setup for a second? 🪴🥹 Because I am absolutely obsessed.

These newborn days are sleepy, emotional, beautiful chaos… and they deserve to be remembered that way.

After a lot of thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to close my studio space at the end of this month.

This wasn’t an easy choice. Life has shifted quite a bit behind the scenes recently, and right now I need to make decisions that allow me to move forward sustainably, both personally and professionally.

I want to reassure everyone that LikeWise Photo & Designs is NOT closing. In many ways, I feel like this is simply a transition into a new season of my business!

I will still be offering:
• Outdoor sessions
• Weddings & elopements
• In-home newborn sessions (both lifestyle and posed)
• Milestone & smash cake sessions (in-home or outdoor)
• Access to my client closet, props, wraps, and styling pieces

For clients already booked in the studio:
You will absolutely still be taken care of. Newborn, milestone, and smash cake sessions can be moved to an in-home setup, or I will rent a studio space locally on a session-by-session basis when needed.

This studio held so many memories for me. So many growing families, tiny newborn yawns, maternity sessions, late-night editing marathons, laughter, chaos, and creativity. I’m incredibly grateful for every single person who supported this dream and trusted me inside that space.

With that said, I would love to fill the studio with a few more sessions before the end of the month. If you’ve been thinking about booking, this is your sign.

Moving forward, I’ll be focusing more of my energy on weddings, elopements, and outdoor storytelling sessions while continuing to create meaningful experiences for all of life’s seasons.

Thank you for sticking with me through the changes! I can't wait to see where this leads.

Grad sessions are about so much more than a cap and gown. 🎓

They’re the late nights, the stress, the growth, the people who helped along the way, and finally getting to say, ‘I did it.’

One thing I really focus on during college sessions is making them feel personal and natural instead of overly posed or rushed. For this session at Michigan State University, we explored campus, chased good light, and created photos that actually felt like him.

These milestones deserve more than a quick photo in front of a building!

Yesterday’s wedding felt extra special because it reminded me how much I genuinely love creating experiences for people, not just photos!

We had an entire crew there for the Belangers’ day, and seeing everyone work together so seamlessly was honestly really cool. Kaline second shooting beside me, Teryn helping wherever needed throughout the day, and Bethany & Diego keeping the photobooth running and guests laughing all night! it felt like such a solid team effort.

There were so many moving parts behind the scenes yesterday, and I kept having one of those little moments where you step back and realize, ‘wow. this is really what I get to do for a living.’

I’ll always go above and beyond for my couples because I know these days matter. Fluffing dresses, fixing timelines, carrying bouquets, calming nerves, hyping people up, making sure guests have fun, catching the quiet moments people miss…all of it matters to me.

The Belangers truly had such a beautiful day and I cannot wait to share more from it!

One of the biggest compliments I get from seniors and parents is that these sessions don’t feel awkward or rushed.

I put a lot into creating an experience where seniors can actually relax, feel confident, and have photos that look like them instead of a copy of everyone else’s Pinterest board. From helping with outfit ideas and locations to guiding posing the entire time, I’m paying attention to all the little details so they don’t have to.

This session is such a good example of why I love what I do. We went from dreamy spring blossoms, to glowing sunset fields, to something a little more editorial and bold, and every part still felt true to her personality. That variety and intention is something I care about a lot when I photograph seniors.

These photos are more than something to throw on a grad invite for a few weeks. They end up framed in homes, saved by parents forever, and looked back on years from now when this season feels far away.

Class of 2027 seniors, if you’re wanting a session that feels personalized, creative, and actually fun instead of stressful, now is the time to start planning. Spring and fall dates always go the fastest!

A little sneak peek for Ashlee & Rob

Last year, I photographed their courthouse wedding. This year was the big celebration with all of their family and friends there to finally celebrate alongside them… and somehow they still managed to surprise everyone!

During the cake cutting, they revealed the gender of their baby, which made the whole night feel even more special to photograph. It turned into one of those weddings that wasn’t just about one milestone, but multiple seasons of life all happening at once.

The details were beautiful, the energy all day was easy and genuine, and you could tell how loved these two are by everyone in that room.

Also, their reception setup photographed like an absolute dream ✨

I cannot wait to share more from this wedding.

One of the biggest reasons I love offering lifestyle newborn sessions is because these photos become part of your family history in a way a studio backdrop never could.

The nursery won’t look like this forever.
They won’t fit perfectly in your arms forever.
Even the little routines of these first few weeks eventually fade into newer seasons of life.

That’s why I approach these sessions the way I do. I’m paying attention to the in-between moments, the details you worked hard on, the way your home feels right now, and the connection between all of you instead of forcing everything to look overly posed.

Years from now, these are the images that bring people back to what this season actually felt like.

Brown City Prom was a fun one this year!

I got to photograph some of the girls & guys before the dance, and I always love getting to be part of these moments. Between the dresses, the excitement, the chaos of everyone getting ready, and parents trying to get their own photos too, prom nights always have their own energy.

I know these photos end up meaning a lot more later on than they do in the moment, and I don’t take that lightly.

Some stories I get to step into for a moment…
and some I get to stay for.

Mateo is one of those babies 🥹

From their maternity session… to those first hours in the hospital… and now this. Watching a family grow in real time like this is something I will never take lightly. It’s not just “another session” to me.

It’s trust. It’s connection. It’s being invited into one of the most important seasons of their lives.

And Mateo? He made this part easy. Slept like a dream, gave us the softest little expressions, and fit right into every setup like he knew exactly what he was doing.

These are the moments that change so fast. The tiny features, the way they curl up, how brand new everything feels… it doesn’t stay this way for long.

If you’re expecting, this is your sign to start planning your newborn session early. The best time to photograph them is within those first couple weeks, and I only take a limited number of due dates each month so I can give each family this kind of time and care.
