I got a taste, so I'm making an official decision. I will attempt thru hiking the Appalachian Trail, northbound, starting in March 2028.

Good morning everyone. Over the past several months I've given plenty of thought, and much research into a dream of mine. And I'm gonna need your help to make it come true. As our government at the state and federal levels continues to dismantle our public lands or just let them deteriorate. I believe I may have a solution, though it may seem like putting a finger band aid on a gun shot wound at first. But trust me, our effort combined with honorable government agencies, and other non-profit nature preservation groups. (Oops, gave away the surprise) I guess the gig is up. The goal is to start a non-profit nature conservancy in southern lower Michigan. Through the help of selling photography, and running fundraisers to purchase a tract of land to preserve and for the enjoyment of current and future generations. However, as I previously mentioned, I need your help. I need all of you, to invite as many people as possible to follow the page. We need to boost the following at least to a thousand before I start launching anything. If you choose to accept the mission, I highly appreciate it. Happy trails!

Wildflower Wednesday - Although not native to Michigan, this garden favorite is found in garden-escapes and in commercial wildflower mixes. The plant is native to Eurasia, and North Africa. It's only native relative is the Wood Poppy. This specimen was likely a garden escapee since it was found along a roadside in a somewhat residential area.
