Last year was a busy time for me. On most weekends, holidays, and PTO days, I was out either shooting film photographs or processing them in the darkroom. I received word today that my first book, Along the Fall Line, will arrive in Augusta early next week. It is a hardcover book filled with photographs I've taken from around the area, all in black and white. Some places you'll recognize, others you won't. But that is the whole idea. I love this area and I hope through my photographs and words, that sentiment comes through loud and clear. We are blessed to live in a place that has a great climate and ample wild spaces to escape.
I'll be participating in shows and signings throughout 2024 thanks to the gracious encouragement and support of several organizations.
Here is a listing of what is on tap for now:
The Morris Museum of Art, On display from January 6 - June 23 in the Morris Auditorium. Tentatively, we are planning a presentation for April. More information to come as that time nears. Books will be for sale in the Morris Museum of Art gift shop.
Savannah River Group Sierra Club, January 27th at 2PM. At this Sierra Club fundraising event, there will be a number of my documentary films screening in different rooms at The Unitarian Universalist Church of Augusta. A number of my photographs will be on display and for sale. Finally, I'll have books for sale and will be signing.
The Frame Shoppe, February 10th at 2 PM. This will be a drop-in event with many of the photographs from the book on display and for sale. I'll have books for sale too and will be signing. Refreshments will be provided.
Hope to see you at these events!
