The last few months have been a little wild. I was unexpectedly laid off from my corporate marketing job during a company-wide layoff back in August, and navigating that sudden shift has been both eye opening and really hard at times. The job market is beyond rough right now and if you scroll LinkedIn, you’ll see layoffs are happening everywhere! Check in on your unemployed friends. 🩵

Photography took a bit of a backseat for me the last few years, but I’m genuinely grateful to have a creative outlet I can fall back on. That said, finding consistent photo work in Austin hasn’t been as easy as I assumed it might be. Turns out I really appreciate the stability of a full time role more than I realized. Suddenly I’m in my late twenties caring about insurance?! I miss my dental hygienist!!!!

All of that to say, I’m still here, still photographing people, places, and things when I can. Soooo here’s some headshots I took of my beautiful friends (plus me) over the summer. ✨
