Plant Crush

Plant Crush plantcrush is a vegan food + lifestyle blog inspired by plants We can beautify the world with our imagination, enthusiasm and compassion.

In its earliest stages in 2012, plantcrush was known as The Broccoli Bulletin--a vegan resource blog for UT Arlington students. It has since then evolved into a place for me to share my love for the vibrance of the plant-based lifestyle through engaging content that aims to inspire. My primary medium of choice: plants. Expect to see many plant-based recipes + a sprinkling of nature adventures.

Last weekend things! We love a 3 day weekend đŸ€©Started off strong with the Asian American zine fest at —browsed some super cool vendors & savored the craft of physical media & art! Very thankful that my much beloved pandan cupcake recipe could be a part of ’s vol. 1 of their NOURISHED zine. My pandan cupcake recipe was inspired by my grandma & I am glad her legacy lives on in my creations✹

The weekend was sprinkled with lots of good vegan food, company & movement & nature. 🙂 Grateful for these experiences!

Lmao istg wouldn’t let me post this 3 weeks ago so here we areeee!!! Feels like I have been celebrating LNY pretty much all month. 🧧🐮

Táșżt dump! Thankful for a Valentine’s/LNY weekend full of love and for being able to take off for my fave cultural holiday without feeling guilty! Here’s to taking up space more honestly in my adult life & pouring into my needs instead of people-pleasing or doing what people think I “should” do!

Vibes unmatched—opening my first matcha tin of the year! đŸ”A gift from my cousin ! Secret Santa theme for my cousins this year was to share items/purchases that you personally enjoyed (that the gift receiver would also appreciate). My cousin knew I had been in my home cafe era & he also happened to try , so he sent me a couple tons of their matcha!! This has been one of my fave secret Santa gifts yet đŸ™đŸŒ

My entry for & ’s Merry No-Dairy Vegan Bake-Off—London Fog Black Sesame Rolls!

This LONG recipe is really best suited for the blog, but for now, with my limited capacity, it will live here & I have typed out all the steps (as well as some tweaks from the first time I made it)! This one is not for the casual baker, as it is quite involved, BUT it is well worth the effort. I had never worked with tangzhong before, but heard great things about it & decided to apply it for a special bake for my bf’s birthday. I did a lot of research & found to be an amazing resource for working with tangzhong & also applying the cold fermentation process. My recipe is loosely based off of Henry’s recipe, but veganized, and with a different flavor profile. I highly recommend reading his blog as a reference; he knows what he’s doing! Another resource I looked to for technique inspiration is ! Happy baking!!
