“Be careful. That ice is slippery” - Everyone after you slip on ice.
Tis the season for trips, falls, and sliding down icy trails. Just remember:
❄️ Before you accidentally reenact Frozen, the off off off Broadway version (assuming your choreography is, well, it’s not important), check the park website or corner a ranger and hit them with the real question: “Is this trail planning to funnel six inches of snow down my pants as I slide down a hill?
❄️ Wear traction devices. They’re like snow tires for your feet. Without them you’re basically a human pinball in a down-parka with zero control, maximum bounce, and a 100 % chance of ricocheting off three trees and a small child before coming to a very undignified stop.
❄️ Personal space, people! Leave enough room for your own inevitable flailing wipeout. Nobody wants a surprise game of human dominoes.
❄️ If you’re going down, take the L with dignity. Do NOT yank someone else’s waistband like it’s an emergency ripcord. If you insist on bringing them down, insult their beanie with the oversized pom pom.
❄️ Assume every slip is being live-streamed. Because it probably is. Strike a pose, stick the landing, and get up an internet star! What? Snow is in your pants?
