Hello and welcome to my photography page! My name is Julia — I’m a natural light photographer, born and raised in Bakersfield, now stepping into the world of studio and lighting photography as I continue to grow in my craft. My passion for photography began when I was just a child. I used to sneak my mom’s disposable cameras and pretend I was capturing real photo shoots. By the age of 8, I was the

one taking all the random pictures at our family get-togethers — and loving every minute of it! In high school, I joined the yearbook team, and that’s when I truly realized photography was in my blood. When I became a mother, I really went wild with the disposable cameras, capturing every little moment of my kids’ lives. I eventually took classes to learn more, but honestly? So much of what I know is self-taught — driven by love, curiosity, and a God-given gift. Fast forward to today: I’ve been photographing for over 20 years, and running my business professionally for 16 of those years. My oldest child is now 28, and I’m still doing what I love with the same passion I had as that little girl with a camera in her hand. But my journey hasn’t been easy. In 2022, I was hit by a drunk driver in a terrible car accident. By the grace of God, I survived — and to this day, people still call me a walking miracle. Then in 2025, I was in another car accident. Standing strong. Still doing what I love. I’m a mother. I’m a wife. I’m a woman of God. And I wouldn’t be here without His mercy and protection. Photography is more than a job to me — it’s my passion. I don’t do it for the money. I do it because I truly love it. I believe everyone deserves beautiful photos, so I do my best to remain affordable and accessible to all. Thank you for supporting my journey. Thank you for considering me for your session! Please note that a non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your date and time. Without the deposit, your session is not confirmed and remains open for booking by others. This policy helps ensure fairness and protects my schedule, as I’ve had past experiences with last-minute cancellations and no-shows. For privacy and security reasons, I only provide my studio address once your booking is secured with a deposit. If, for any reason, I need to cancel your session (for example, due to an emergency on my end), your deposit will be fully refunded. However, deposits are otherwise non-refundable. I truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation—this policy allows me to give every client the professional experience they deserve.
