Good friends change your life!

We had fun celebrating Princess Ewuzie graduating with her Master's degree!

She has worked very hard and I remember when her journey started years ago!

She has been with me from childhood to my wedding and the birth of my babies. Getting to grow with each other is a huge blessing and I can't wait to see what she does next!

We are 8 months into 2026, how are you doing with your personal goals? Have you reflected on all that you have accomplished or overcome this year?

As a person who always is looking at what is next I have to prioritize "The pause"

The pause to check in with myself and ask how I am really doing.

The pause to celebrate what's good in my life!

The pause to ensure i'm still finding joy and passion in the busiest season.

July was FULL in a good way! Spent a lot of time with friends and family, got some photo work done and started filming little moments in a more creative way.

I used to believe in "balance". I believed I never had to choose between what I wanted to do because in some way I could have it all. Two kids in and I am learning all over again that it's much better to find rhythm, something I learned about in church, instead of balance. I have been a person that believes in getting the work out of the way so fun and passion can happen but in this new season there is always more work than time. Continuing to explore what makes me excited to create, helps me with the growing responsibilities. Just like a song, I hit one beat at a time, enjoying photography and changing diapers. Editing and making sure bed time happens. Not all at once, not all the time. Some days the music plays in amazing harmony and others are off beat and chaotic with not a lot of time to do anything creative. I absolutely can't do it alone and i'm thankful that I can grow with my family in new ways. How about you? Do you believe in balancing it all?

Pre-shoot is a good time! I'm usually gathering my thoughts and going through my routine. On this shoot the window had such good lighting, I had to take some videos. I've been taking pics so long I can pretty much auto pilot the basics and spend my energy on handling the unexpected. That usually is lighting, posing, and getting people to love how they look in the photo!
