Martine and Ken have a larger wedding celebration planned with their loved ones down the road, but first they wanted to start their marriage with something truly personal and beautifully intimate. We were overjoyed to document their Beacon Courthouse elopement on a gorgeous sunny Tuesday morning in spring, and this small joyful ceremony was exactly the kind of heartfelt moment we treasure most as wedding photographers. The ceremony took place inside the grand courtroom at Beacon City Hall at 1 Municipal Plaza in Beacon, and from the very first moment Martine and Ken filled the room with genuine laughter and the most radiant smiles as the officiant guided them through their vows with warmth and sincerity that felt completely natural and real.

As Hudson Valley wedding photographers we have had the privilege of photographing at courthouses all across New York State, and we can say with full confidence that a Beacon Courthouse elopement is one of our very favorites. The grand courtroom interior features soaring ceilings, warm wood details, and truly beautiful natural light creating a setting that feels both elegant and deeply personal at the very same time. Beacon City Hall holds wedding ceremonies on Tuesdays at noon keeping the experience intentional and beautifully focused, and couples apply for a marriage license online through the City of Beacon Self-Service module for just $40 making this Hudson Valley city hall wedding accessible and straightforward for couples planning intimate celebrations.

After the ceremony wrapped we headed to Long Dock Park for portraits where this stunning Beacon waterfront location provided incredible Hudson River views and natural beauty just minutes from City Hall. The sunny spring morning created perfect light for photos, and Long Dock Park's combination of waterfront meadows, rocky shoreline, and mountain views made it the ideal spot for this Beacon elopement portrait session. Martine and Ken's Beacon Courthouse elopement with Long Dock Park session proved that intimate city hall weddings combined with beautiful outdoor portrait locations create the perfect balance for couples who want simple ceremonies with stunning photos, and honestly the combination of Beacon City Hall's elegant courtroom and Long Dock Park's waterfront beauty made this one of our favorite Hudson Valley courthouse elopements to photograph.

The lighting test vs the resulting photos from Bridget & Andrew's first dance at Hudson House. We always take time to dial in the perfect lighting during reception so your first dance photos are absolutely stunning. That pre-dance test shot makes all the difference in capturing the emotion and atmosphere of this moment. This Jersey City celebration with NYC skyline views was the perfect setting. We love a good surprise, and this one delivered big emotions and big views when Mason proposed to Maggie at one of our favorite hidden gems in the Hudson Valley. Little Stony Point Park is easy to access but still feels adventurous, and it's the kind of place that makes a proposal feel magical. When Mason first reached out to us, we knew he had something special in mind wanting views, simplicity, and a spot that still feels like an escape, and as Hudson Valley proposal photographers, we recommend this Cold Spring proposal spot all the time because it has everything: mountains, the river, and the kind of light that makes photos feel cinematic.

Maggie's friends told her they were headed to a yoga class, but instead they detoured to the trailhead at Little Stony Point Park where Mason waited at the bottom of the trail ready for the moment to unfold. This Hudson Valley proposal photography story started with a simple walk and ended with thunder, laughter, and lots of happy tears. We met Mason just before the big moment when he was calm, sweet, and totally ready, and as they walked up the trail together, the clouds started to roll in but Mason was all in rain or shine. We always say this spot is one of the best for couples who want an easy walk with a major payoff because you don't need hiking boots but you still get those epic Hudson Valley proposal photography views.

At the overlook, everything slowed down when Mason dropped to one knee and Maggie lit up. Her reaction was priceless, and the rain started to fall just as she said yes with the thunder adding a little drama, but these two leaned in and embraced it all. As Beacon engagement photographers, we love moments that feel real, and this one was pure magic. After the big moment, they continued exploring Little Stony Point for portraits with the dramatic weather creating moody, romantic backdrops that honestly made the photos even more stunning. Their summer Hudson Valley proposal photography in Cold Spring proved that sometimes the best moments happen when plans change and you embrace whatever comes your way, and honestly Mason and Maggie's rainy proposal was more memorable and beautiful than any sunny day could have been.

This LGBTQ wedding at the Ace Hotel in New York City showcased everything we love about urban celebrations that prioritize authenticity, style, and genuine connection. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers who also work throughout NYC, we appreciate venues like the Ace Hotel that provide chic, modern settings for couples who want something completely different from traditional wedding venues. The Brooklyn location brought an edgy, artistic vibe to the celebration, and honestly the Ace Hotel's signature industrial-cool design with exposed brick, contemporary furnishings, and creative spaces created the perfect backdrop for this stylish couple.

The day began with getting ready in one of the hotel's thoughtfully designed rooms where every detail from the vintage-inspired decor to the natural light streaming through large windows created beautiful, editorial-style preparation photos. As q***r wedding photographers, we focus on capturing authentic moments and genuine emotions, and this couple's comfort with themselves and each other translated into images that feel real rather than posed. The Ace Hotel's various spaces from intimate corners to larger gathering areas allowed us to create diverse portraits throughout the property without leaving the venue.

The ceremony took place in one of the hotel's event spaces where the industrial aesthetic provided a modern, unconventional setting that felt totally appropriate for this couple who wanted to celebrate their love without traditional wedding tropes. The LGBTQ wedding photography throughout the day focused on their authentic connection, the support of their chosen family, and the joy of celebrating love in a space that felt genuinely them. The reception continued the creative, contemporary vibe with excellent food, craft cocktails from the Ace Hotel bar, and a dance party that lasted well into the night.

This bar engagement session perfectly balanced elegance and playfulness, and as Beacon wedding photographers, we love when couples bring personality into their sessions. This one checked every box. We started their session at Wonderbar in Beacon, a modern and moody cocktail bar where the atmosphere is intimate, stylish, and full of character setting the tone for classic, editorial-style photos.

Their chic and fun bar engagement session in Beacon, NY showcased a different side of engagement photography focusing on urban sophistication and nightlife vibes rather than traditional outdoor locations. The bar engagement session in Beacon, New York proved that couples don't need scenic overlooks or botanical gardens for stunning engagement photos, sometimes the best locations are the places where you actually spend time together and feel like yourselves.

We are beyond excited to share this beautiful Factoria at Charles Point wedding with you today because Jess and Rob were an absolute joy to work with from the very first conversation we had together. As wedding photographers who love connecting with couples on a genuine level, days like this truly fuel our passion, and their warmth, laughter, and genuine excitement for each other made this an absolute honor to photograph. Factoria at Charles Point sits right on the Hudson River in the heart of Peekskill, New York, and this stunning venue features brick accent walls, iron ceiling details, and beautiful warm lighting throughout its expansive event space boasting 34,000 square feet that can comfortably host up to 180 guests for ceremonies and receptions alike.

We started with Jess getting ready in her gorgeous bridal suite which was filled with soft and beautiful light while Rob got ready in the front lobby area that offered its own wonderful natural light throughout the space. The industrial architecture of this venue glows beautifully on a bright spring day with sunshine pouring through large windows, and as a Beacon-based photography team photographing our first Factoria at Charles Point wedding here we were completely captivated. The first look took place on the outdoor balcony right above the marina and the wide Hudson River, and the morning was chilly and windy off the water but Jess and Rob were completely lost in each other making the fresh spring sunshine and cool river air create such a genuine and truly memorable moment.

After the first look at this Factoria at Charles Point wedding we explored the venue together for portraits where the bar area offered charming and intimate backdrops that we absolutely loved working with for couple portraits, and we also used the beautiful ceremony arch for group photos which gave us a classic and polished look. One of the most memorable moments came before the ceremony even started when Jess and Rob greeted guests together as everyone arrived creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere from the start, and Jess was totally at ease with guests seeing her before the ceremony which we loved how personal that felt.

This spring Factoria at Charles Point wedding in Peekskill proved that industrial-chic waterfront venues create the most stunning celebrations, and honestly the combination of the venue's incredible architecture, Hudson River views from the outdoor balcony, expansive event space with brick and iron details, and Jess and Rob's warmth throughout the day made this one of our favorite weddings to photograph. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers we were instantly captivated by this venue's charm, and this Peekskill wedding showcased everything we love about modern industrial venues with waterfront settings in the Hudson Valley.
