As Hudson Valley wedding photographers we document elopements and intimate ceremonies across the region, and Phoebe and Al chose a Lake Minnewaska elopement for their summer celebration that began early on a clear morning at Minnewaska State Park!! We met them right as the gates opened, giving us that soft early light and way fewer crowds :) Our first stop was Awosting Falls, where Phoebe and Al got brave enough to step right up to the water's edge for some seriously gorgeous backlit shots with the mist catching the morning sun.

We then walked together toward Lake Minnewaska itself where eight close family members waited to witness the ceremony, and Dani from Once Upon a Vow officiated with so much warmth and humor, even weaving in Star Trek references that had everyone smiling! Instead of reading vows aloud, Phoebe and Al wrote private letters to each other and sealed them in a time capsule with a bottle of their favorite whiskey to open on their first anniversary. With the lake stretched out behind them they made it official, and after quick family photos the couple headed to Inness for a relaxed post-elopement brunch. Minnewaska State Park's mix of waterfalls, cliffs, and sky lakes makes it such a stunning spot for a micro wedding, and Phoebe and Al's day reminded us that a small guest list never means a small amount of love!!

As Hudson Valley wedding photographers we love a celebration that blends nature and a party, and Meaghan and Justin gave us exactly that with their summer wedding at The Grandview !! Their morning began at Rhinebrook Estate in Hyde Park where both sides of the wedding party could get ready together, and because Meaghan loves nature the backyard field became the perfect spot for their first look. Justin turned, Meaghan smiled, and the emotion between them was immediate :)

The outdoor ceremony took place beneath an elegant pergola right beside the Hudson River as the summer sun dropped lower in the sky, and Meaghan and Justin shared deeply personal vows that had everyone reaching for tissues! Cocktail hour welcomed guests with a champagne wall and panoramic river views, and once golden hour hit we snuck the couple down to the waterfront for what turned out to be some of our favorite images of the whole day. The Grandview ballroom kept the party going all night with a grand entrance, choreographed first dance to the Beach Boys, and a jaw-dropping reveal of a Venetian dessert bar behind rising curtains! Later we grabbed the couple for a sweet champagne pop on the terrace with the bridge lights glowing behind them, and this Poughkeepsie celebration full of warmth and easy laughter remains one of our absolute favorites!!

We recently traveled from our home base in the Hudson Valley to photograph Laura and Lee's Felina Ridgewood wedding, and as Hudson Valley wedding photographers we jump at any chance to document love stories beyond our usual territory!! This gorgeous celebration unfolded inside a historic bank building turned modern event space in Ridgewood, New Jersey, and Lee and Laura shared their first look upstairs near the cocktail hour fireplace with soft natural light pouring through the tall windows. We got to photograph portraits both inside and outside the original bank vault, and that brass detailing with the heavy vault door made such a striking backdrop :)

A Rabbi and a Deacon led their blended ceremony together side by side under a gorgeous chuppah designed by Yellow Bow Florals, honoring both families' traditions in the most heartfelt way! The reception kicked off with a first dance and parent dances beneath a floating chandelier in The Treasury at Felina, and things got seriously festive once the hora had guests lifting Laura and Lee high into the air followed by a spirited tarantella. Between the marble columns, soaring ceilings, and Felina's restaurant-quality dinner service, this NJ venue blends history with modern glamour in the best way. Laura and Lee's Felina wedding was full of joy from start to finish, and we can't wait to photograph more celebrations at this stunning venue.

We specialize in Hudson Valley proposal photography throughout this beautiful region of New York, and recently we captured proposal photos at Lake Minnewaska for Ben and Alex on a quiet overcast summer morning!! These two started their day at Inness nearby with their two Australian Shepherds in tow, and Ben quietly led Alex on a scenic walk near the visitors center before choosing the perfect rock overlooking the water for his proposal. He got down on one knee with a ring case he designed himself, and Alex was completely caught off guard :) The pups sat calmly right beside them through the whole thing like they knew exactly how special the moment was!

Minnewaska State Park Preserve offers some of the best proposal backdrops around with cliffside views stretching across the Shawangunk Ridge, and soft overcast light made for gorgeous photo conditions that morning. After the proposal we snapped a few more shots near the rock before heading over to Gertrude's Nose for even more sweeping views, with the dogs happily exploring the trail the whole way! We love this Hudson Valley proposal photography spot for its privacy, natural beauty, and quiet charm, and Ben and Alex definitely picked the perfect place for their story.

We had a blast photographing engagement pictures at Stonecrop Gardens with Lilia and Kirill, and these two brought such playful energy to every corner of the gardens!! We started near the historic Conservatory where the glass walls and greenery create the most romantic Hudson Valley engagement photography setting, then wandered into the colorful Flower Garden where blooms of every color framed them beautifully :) The Rock Ledge area gave us some of our favorite shots of the day, and Lilia and Kirill leaned right into the scenery with so much laughter that the whole thing felt effortless!

Warm summer sunshine filtered through the trees for most of the shoot, with a few clouds rolling in to add that soft flattering light we love. We even got to meet some of Stonecrop's charming resident critters along the way, including a sweet pup named Fanshawe who loves greeting visitors! If you're dreaming of your own Cold Spring engagement pictures here, just know you'll need a permit ahead of time and shoots only happen on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Lilia and Kirill's session turned out so genuine and full of joy, and we can't wait to plan more sessions at this gorgeous garden!!

Katie and Brad chose The Garrison for their summer wedding in late June, and morning rain gave way to soft overcast light that turned out perfect for romantic portraits!! As Hudson Valley wedding photographers we met Katie and Brad at the stone gazebo for their first look right after the rain finally stopped, and Katie's bubbly personality shone through with pure joy and movement :) We hopped on a golf cart to explore the property, finding a beautiful willow tree framed by wildflowers that matched their wedding colors perfectly, then climbed the hill behind the gazebo for couples portraits with sweeping Hudson Valley views stretching out behind them.

The outdoor ceremony took place under a vine covered pergola with a live painter capturing it all in real time, and after their vows Brad dipped Katie for a dramatic kiss that had guests cheering and laughing all the way down the aisle! Cocktail hour brought fun personal touches like a live poet writing custom verses and even a visit from Katie and Brad's pet guinea pig Oreo, and right as things wrapped up the sun finally broke through for some gorgeous golden hour portraits. The reception in The Garrison's glass walled Hudson Room kept the party going with speeches, dancing, and a cozy campfire complete with s'mores to close out the night. This colorful Garrison wedding proved that a little rain can't slow down a celebration this joyful, and we're already looking forward to our next day at this stunning Hudson Valley venue!!

Suji and David met us at Little Stony Point Park for their Cold Spring engagement shoot on a late August evening, and this is hands down one of our favorite spots for Hudson Valley engagement photography!! We timed everything for sunset so the light went soft and golden, then melted into pink over the water. These two came ready to have fun too, with beach photos, an outfit change, and even a little dancing on the shore :) They waded right into the river without hesitation, climbed around on the rocks, and wandered through the tall grass while the light kept changing behind them! As Hudson Valley wedding photographers based in Beacon, we love how Little Stony Point Park engagement photos always turn out so dynamic thanks to the mix of beach, trail, and mountain overlook views in one location. Suji and David are already engaged to be married at the Garrison next year, so this session doubled as the perfect warm up since the sweeping Hudson Highlands views feel so similar to the venue itself!

We had the absolute best time planning an engagement photo session at Stonecrop Gardens for Tiffany and Hunter, and as Beacon wedding photographers we always look forward to sessions on these particular grounds!! Stonecrop Gardens gives couples the most peaceful, romantic Hudson Valley engagement photography backdrop with immaculate grounds that stay gorgeous year round. Tiffany and Hunter made the whole shoot feel effortless from start to finish, laughing their way through nearly every single portrait :)

We captured stunning shots inside the sunlit Conservatory where glass panels and lush greenery create such a dreamy atmosphere, then wandered over to the Flower Garden where blooms in every direction gave us some of our favorite images of the day! No Stonecrop Gardens engagement session ever feels complete without a stop at the Wisteria Pavilion and Rock Ledge either, and we even got to meet some of the property's resident animals along the way including a sweet pup named Fanshawe. If you're dreaming of your own Cold Spring engagement photos here, just know the property only opens for photography on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and you'll need a permit ahead of time. Tiffany and Hunter's gallery turned out absolutely gorgeous, and we can't wait to plan more sessions at this stunning Hudson Valley engagement photo location.

Autumn and Casey chose Knotting Hill Farm for their gorgeous summer wedding in the Mohawk Valley, and as their wedding photography team we felt so honored to be there!! The sky stayed clear and bright all day, and we arrived early to soak up the quiet moments before the celebration kicked off. Autumn got ready upstairs in the historic farmhouse with her bridesmaids while Casey prepped in the cozy honeymoon suite nearby, and the two shared their first look beneath a sprawling tree on the property that had us all a little teary!! They later read private vows to each other inside the barn's chapel with its gorgeous restored stained glass windows, and the soft backlighting made for some seriously dreamy photos :)

The ceremony took place right under that same beautiful tree with sunlight dancing through the branches, and afterward guests spilled into cocktail hour with lawn games all across the property! Reception festivities brought fun introductions, heartfelt speeches, and a dance floor that filled up fast, and Casey even snuck outside with his groomsmen for ci**rs under the Mohawk Valley sky. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers we love blending candid storytelling with romantic portraits, and Knotting Hill Farm gave us endless golden light and rustic texture to work with all evening long. Between the historic farmhouse, charming barn, and open fields across the street, it's easy to see why this Central New York venue keeps stealing our hearts!

Ryan and Allison chose a quiet Friday in August for their Wappingers Falls Town Hall wedding, and it was small, sweet, and built entirely around their closest loved ones!! As Hudson Valley wedding photographers based in Beacon, we love this kind of Hudson Valley elopement because there's no long program to worry about, just vows exchanged in the gazebo behind town hall among the people who love them most. The August sun gave everything warm golden light all afternoon, and Ryan and Allison stayed close to each other throughout while their guests cheered quietly just a few feet away :) After the ceremony we grabbed group photos with that gorgeous greenery backdrop, then snuck off to a few quiet corners on the property for portraits where these two were completely relaxed and easy in front of the camera. This Wappingers Falls Town Hall elopement proved that small weddings can still feel so full, and we can't wait for more courthouse wedding days like this one!
