One of the last photos I took with my camera n our Minnesota trip. We were in Wisconsin looking for a better state sign and crossed a bridge. Dad called to see if we saw the bald eagle. Jon and I turned around to catch a glimpse. Never a bad way to end a trip.
But speaking of eagles, if you are a fan of the Big Bear we**am watching Jackie,Shadow and the eaglets, keep Jackie in your prayers. She is recovering after being attacked. Is being tested to see what is wrong with her. It’s been a rough year for her.

If these two building could talk, would they tell us about all the hard work that the owners put in? Would they talk about good times or bad? They’d surely have a lot to say about the weird weather patterns. Would they tell us we’ve become soft? Complacent? Would they brag on our hard work today? The world has changed a lot since they were built. I’d like to say for the better in many ways. My glass is half full and I’ll always be the one who prays for world peace.

Creede hadn't been too smoky from the Gold Mountain Fire. We found the smoke when we went to Deer Lakes. There were times you couldn't see the mountain peaks at Lake City from this location.

I planted some zinnias by seed last year. Package said annual. I planted more this year in a different spot. Have zinnias coming up everywhere. Not complaining because I love them and they are tough. Let’s see if they survive July and August this year.

This wasn't the first day I spent in Colorado but it is how I think I should start this album. Colorado desperately needs rain. Reagan Lake is low. The dry, cracked ground where the water usually is makes me realize just how dry it is. Fires weren't horribly far as a crow flies but the wind was out the right direction this day to keep the smoke away.
Reagan Lake with always remind me of the late great Keith Cartwright and our time there with him after Jon and I got married. Our guys threw a fishing line in the water for a short bit and enjoyed a pretty morning.
