A cow moose looking after her young calves. Such an amazing sight to see these little ones find their bearings on their legs as they navigate their ways through the brush.

Did you know that moose can eat up to 70 pounds of vegetation per day and can run up to 35 miles per hour. They are also excellent swimmers and able to dive underwater to munch on aquatic plants.

Watching the sunrise over the Grand Tetons is an unforgettable experience. Snow capped peaks rise dramatically above the valley floor while wildlife roams the plains below, creating a landscape that feels both wild and timeless.

I watched this particular sunrise just three months after my mom passed away. She was the one who introduced me to photography, and for many years we shared that passion together. Any chance to capture a sunrise or sunset was an adventure she never wanted to miss.

As the morning light slowly warmed the valley below, I found myself reflecting on those moments with her. Standing there with my camera in hand, I wished she were beside me, capturing the beauty alongside me one more time.

Third time up Black Butte from the bottom to the top in the last few weeks. It’s changed from snowy, to a layer of frost and yesterday just a few patches of snow hiding in the shade. The views are always amazing, even if the top is consumed by the clouds.

Happy Thanksgiving. I am thankful for life, friends and family. Life where I can pause and take in moments of spectacular beauty. Friends that have spanned a lifetime, new friends that I have just met and those that I have yet to meet. And family that helped mold your perspective and sent you on your life’s path.
