It's always great to see the Bockwoldt family! Congratulations to Steve & Terri Bockwoldt, who celebrated 50 years of marriage in April!

We got together for family pics on Aug. 9, and you'd never know from these photos that it was 88 degrees with 90 percent humidity! But that's Iowa in the summertime.

This is SO TRUE! Remember when selecting your photographer that anyone can buy a digital camera and call themselves a photographer. But it takes years and years to really hone the skills and know how to capture the artwork your client will love. Be sure to ask the person you’re considering how many years experience they have. And always remember, you get what you pay for. 😁

Senior pictures are at their best when they reflect what matters most to your senior.

Whether it's theater, music, taekwondo, soccer, or the landscape they've grown up in, incorporating those pieces creates photographs that feel personal instead of generic.

Henry opted to divide his senior pics into two sessions. Last week, we spent his first session in the high school auditorium and in my studio capturing a few of the things that make Henry who he is.

My goal in every senior portrait session is to preserve exactly who they are at one of life's biggest turning points. When a high school senior's personality shines through, the portraits become meaningful instead of just beautiful.

We traded in a 90+ degree day for a few inside shots of William and some of his favorite things, including gaming. Next week, we will finish the remainder of his session outdoors.

Senior year is about so much more than a cap and gown. It's about celebrating who your child has become before they begin the next chapter of their life.
