Some portraits are not meant to live only on a phone.
They are meant to become part of the home.
The kind of image your children walk past every day.
The kind grandparents hold in their hands.
The kind that quietly says, this season mattered.
That is what I love about fine art portraiture.
It is not just about making a beautiful photograph. It is about creating something your family can see, touch, frame, and return to years from now.
Digital images are wonderful for sharing.
But printed portraits become part of the story.
They become the proof of connection, childhood, motherhood, family, and all the little in-between moments that are so easy to forget when life gets busy.
As we move toward fall, I keep thinking about how quickly the year is passing. School is starting. Kids are growing. Schedules are filling. And another season of family life is already changing.
This is why portraits matter before the moment feels “perfect.”
Because sometimes the ordinary season you are living right now is the one you will miss the most later.
