Listen, mom, I know.

I know they have energy. I know they sit still for half a second before doing cartwheels through the grass. I know the silly faces and the sweet giggles.

I know the late nights and the long days and the fights over eating their dinners.

I know the snuggles and the games and the small moments together.

I know that it’s pride and sadness when they start saying words correctly

I know it’s hard and necessary to watch them stumble and fall

I know it’s beautiful to be their support as they get back up

I know everything is just a season, but that this season is everything

We can’t pause time in this season, but with the right photos we can transport ourselves back anytime.
